My favourite writer Joanna Lindsey, from her first book "Captive Bride". She successfully blends romance with adventure and humour. It's few years she passed away, RIP my dear writer.
Enjoying the story so far. Though the narrator I’m sure is a very nice woman, I’m having a hard time relating to her voice, especially when reading the men’s parts.
The part where she sleeps thru him putting the baby to her breast for a feeding, rolling her over for the 2nd breast and she sleeps thru it had me laughing 😃
Wow, I must say, this is not a cookie cutter or boring book. I am well entertained, to the point I am still up at 1:45am less than an hour to the end. I actually searched abt a 100 or more times trying to find a good book without success. Within the first few mins am usually on the hunt again. I was intrigued from the very first paragraph n there was no taking a break 😅 Wow, well done Author n Narrator. Well done!
Good story but I don't like the hero. He really is a bastard and acted like one too. If he did not want to marry her he should not have seduced her and then left her on her wedding g day because he was a coward. Finally I feel sorry for Mariam. She became cruel after she was betrayed by the ones closest to her and forced to face the betrayal everyday. Don't like when guys can do bad stuff and expect the wife to just deal with the consequences.
