Another great story thank you. Could you please fix the problem of cutting off of the last bit of the stories.

Click bait title: there is no royalty whatsoever in it. This a very laboriously repetitive and unopleasant story, and not what I expect from a novel considered a "Royalty Romance."

The part where she sleeps thru him putting the baby to her breast for a feeding, rolling her over for the 2nd breast and she sleeps thru it had me laughing 😃

This writer is so good. This is my 3rd or 4th book I've listened to of hers, and her storylines are so unique in the historical romance genre. I'm really enjoying her style.

Wow, this narrator is EXCELLENT. Her accents are SO clean. The touch of Ottoman accent as if he had an accent as a child and grew out of it living in Britain. Chefs kiss 😘🤌🤌🤌

Omg! The cadence, the speed and the lack of pausing at the appropriate times, makes this impossible for me to listen to.

Why do so many of these audio books have narrators with such soft voices it's difficult to both hear and/or understand them? Beyond irritating. A least this one doesn't have a baby voice, which I cannot abide. A narrator needs to have a voice that is clear and projects, wouldn't you think this would be non-negotiable? DELETE and on to the next.

Enjoying the story so far. Though the narrator I’m sure is a very nice woman, I’m having a hard time relating to her voice, especially when reading the men’s parts.

Why so woke?

Enjoyable story and well written until the 7th hour. This story takes place in approximately the mid 1850s, 15 years into Queen Victoria's reign. Prince Albert had very strict standards of morality, which he expected the aristocracy at the very least to adhere to and they embraced it, which would have been common at that time. Rules governing the behavior of ladies and gentlemen were very strict and codified, particularly for unmarried young women, and the punishnment for non-compliance very harsh. Since a mis-step would bring shame on an entire family which could last for many years, mamas were strongly and constantly impressing on their daughters the importance of never behaving in any manner that might cast even the shadow of a doubt on their "purity". As the daughter of an earl, Judith would have grown up with these restrictions embedded in her identity, so the very idea of allowing Christian to take such liberties with her body are so unlikely, the intimacy described neither could nor would have ever taken place. It can be difficult for writers of all kinds to let the truth get in the way of a good story, however, to do so in such an extremely egregious manner is so uncomfortably jarring it ruined the story for me. Especially because it happened so early in their reconcilation. Just sayin'...

Good story but I don't like the hero. He really is a bastard and acted like one too. If he did not want to marry her he should not have seduced her and then left her on her wedding g day because he was a coward. Finally I feel sorry for Mariam. She became cruel after she was betrayed by the ones closest to her and forced to face the betrayal everyday. Don't like when guys can do bad stuff and expect the wife to just deal with the consequences.

My grandmother was forced into a loveless marriage when she was 16. Such horrors were accepted by society. It is only since 1950 that women have been "allowed" their choice of careers and at that a decades long period before those careers were other than teaching and nursing. I enjoyed this audiobook very much. Thank you.

Are her books clean romances?

I don't have a problem with using AI, however if they are supposed to be of higher intelligence than humans; they ought to be able to read the English or any language with the inflections of the author. I guess it still needs tweaking.

I've read all books by Johanna Lindsay. This is a 2nd "read". Love audiobooks. More please!

I find it interesting and I think these writers should understand this a young lady of culture will have hands that are smooth with clean nails it takes about 10 seconds for someone during that time to be able to distinguish between a milkmaid and the lady of the house no matter how they're dressed the mere condition of their skin this young lady in the story no one would be fooled a wise man would spot her and her likely positioned immediately especially a slavery
