    Thanks for the Dewalt 2400psi pressure washer David. It arrived yesterday. My friend Oscar used it this morning to prep the home exterior for paint. Got all the mold, algae and stains off. Ideal prep work for long a weekend of painting. Thanks again. Keep these awesome videos coming.

    Do you usually use 3500 psi concrete for the footing. Would you recommend a higher psi for a larger retaining wall footing?

  • @milkywayan2232

    Nice wall. Well executed work. Question about efflorescence. Does your waterproofing on the back of the wall extend to the bottom of the block that you wet set in your concrete footing?
    You also mentioned There's no mortar on the head joints of that row of block. Will that affect any finish you put on the face of the wall? Maybe just a slight amount? Curious what your experience is with it.

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Water proofing extends all the way.

I am still not sure I can do this on my own, but as I sit here in tears after 6 months of being given the runaround from now the second local contractor that takes the job and then doesn't deliver, I feel like I have no choice! I've never had to work so hard to get someone to do a job! I just don't understand! You do make is seem so doable, so maybe after watching some more of your videos I will feel more confident to take it on...otherwise I am afraid my half finished yard will stay that way for lord knows how long!

    Attention to detail like water proofing behind the wall equals a quality job with good value for the customer.
    At 11:35 fiber glass sliders, fiber rods, fiber mesh, what’s up with wanting to go fiberglass with everything? Isn’t a magnesium bull float better?
    Do you recommend the rocker arm for the bull.float?

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rocker arm is nice on some obstacle course situations.
      Mag seals it up quicker for on shot lay down in tight situations or hot weather

  • @SyddlesFuzz
    @SyddlesFuzz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would it be possible to get your input on a planter design I've got? Most of it is simple. 4 or 6" thick CMU with rebar, up to 2 feet, in a box. The strange part is I have 2 sections I want to raise up at 9 foot walls (above the initial 2') 30 inches wide each. I live in a windy area, so I'm worried that would be knocked over.

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Start with 2' of 8", then go 6" for the rest.
      A solid 2' deep footing, Two #4s t&b horizontal.
      #4s vertically every 16". Two #4s horizontal at middle and top of wall.
      Solid grouted.
      Equals no worries.
