As per the report given by a meitei social activist he mentions that we keep on blaming the poor u educated farmers who is neglected by the government for any means of livelihood have no other option when the Drug Lords offer them 50k-1lac as down payment supplies them with seeds and UREA( this chemical is very important and costly so where will those poor famers get it. Mostly govt supplies it on subsidy basis so only the govt has a strong hold on the UREA distribution in Manipur) they are told once the harvest is done they get another 50k-1lac as payment. That is how those poor farmers are getting trapped. After the churches got wind of what was happening, Village chiefs issue notifications if anyone is found cultivating it they will be barred from living there and Churches too played a major role in rehabilitation program in terms of providing alternative methods of cultivations. But no help from state government. As per the STATISTICS PROVIDED BY A VALLEY BASED MEITEI NGO - The highest no of people caught in Drug trafficking was meitei, naga and kuki. Just 2weeks ago Delhi Police caught 2 meitei men trying to traffick heroin worth nearly 20crore to international markets. To end here I will not deny that some of the poorest of the poor kuki farmers are doing poppy cultivation but that does not dictate for the whole community to be called that. I myself have first seen poppy flower in Delhi flower show for the first time. I would suggest listening to interviews done by Karan Thapar and also search contents by "Major Amit Bansal" in youtube for a better unbiased insight in terms of ARMY pov and political. I have seen that many of our fellow netizens commented about the linguistic problems of the leader, Pramod Sir and make him fun but I would like to remind you that english isn't our mother tongue, it's just a way to communicate with other person though he spoke very well because the way he was speaking might not be the correct in grammatical form however he was trying to understood us about the facts & we got all points. To be a great leader, English, the language of other country isn't necessary because the leadership qualities like courage, compassion, inspiration, empathy, determination should be there to become a Leader & I think he has those qualities. In developed countries like Japan, South Korea, China also give importance to their mother tongue not in english.

The kingpin of Manipur drug trade is non other then CM Biren singh and his wife. Other stake holders are other meitei politicians and other high ranking officials. The culprits were exposed after many years of investigation by a meitei women super cop (MPS) Th. Brinda. She logged a detailed FIR but unfortunately she had to resign (Removed) and retract her FIR and statements. As per her Investigation all the communities were involved in the poppy cultivation. The pyramid goes like this. >>MLA & POLITICIANS >> VALLEY BASED DRUG CARTELS >> VALLEY MILITANTS LIKE "KYKL, UNLF, PREPAK" based in BURMA>> POOR POPPY CULTIVATORS (Nagas and kukis) . As per the report given by a meitei social activist he mentions that we keep on blaming the poor u educated farmers who is neglected by the government for any means of livelihood have no other option when the Drug Lords offer them 50k-1lac as down payment supplies them with seeds and UREA( this chemical is very important and costly so where will those poor famers get it. Mostly govt supplies it on subsidy basis so only the govt has a strong hold on the UREA distribution in Manipur) they are told once the harvest is done they get another 50k-1lac as payment. That is how those poor farmers are getting trapped. After the churches got wind of what was happening, Village chiefs issue notifications if anyone is found cultivating it they will be barred from living there and Churches too played a major role in rehabilitation program in terms of providing alternative methods of cultivations. But no help from state government. As per the STATISTICS PROVIDED BY A VALLEY BASED MEITEI NGO - The highest no of people caught in Drug trafficking was meitei, naga and kuki. Just 2weeks ago Delhi Police caught 2 meitei men trying to traffick heroin worth nearly 20crore to international markets. To end here I will not deny that some of the poorest of the poor kuki farmers are doing poppy cultivation but that does not dictate for the whole community to be called that. I myself have first seen poppy flower in Delhi flower show for the first time. I would suggest listening to interviews done by Karan Thapar and also search contents by "Major Amit Bansal" in youtube for a better unbiased insight in terms of ARMY pov and political.
