It's usually only a few days from when we shoot a video to when you guys see it, that means most 'builds' come out as episodes. In the case of this midget series, turns out there's nearly 3 hours of sweet modified nuggetry, so we hope you enjoy this huge build either for the first time, or again if you've followed along. Don't forget we have an awesome new limited edition and signed mod max poster available here: mightycarmods.com/products/limited-edition-mod-max-poster-autographed

I think it would be a good idea to set up a new channel to put all the full length videos in and that way if we want to see specific full length builds/feature we can find it easier

@@TheLinAndre agree. I got excited when this notification popped. But it appears to be things I've already seen. And despite my love for MCM, I'm not willing to drop 3hrs in the hopes of maybe seeing a few tiny bits of otherwise unseen footage

Perhaps the cable ties were used when a rope was used to tie down something. Easier than getting the rope through the loops than the bar?
Love your show guys. Sending love from Namibia. Keep the friendship alive. It is rare and beautiful to see in real time over so long. I was in advertising for 25 years so I know the work going into your show. The passion and dedication is awe inspiring. Great music btw.

    Viewer from across the pond.
I stumbled across this from a TH-cam recommendation.
    Good for that aren't they.
    Glad they did.
One of the best builds I've seen.
I tinker with small upgrades like all other folk do .
But this took engineering to another level.
    Loved it.
I learnt so much sh*t that I still am not capable of doing but the learning still helps me understand so thanks for that.

Man such a cool build. I've been subscribed for ages but haven't watched a video in a long long time. But this definitely reminded me of why I subbed in the first place. You guys are so damn laid back about this stuff. You're obviously great with cars. But you never act snoody or like you're better than anyone. Just a couple of chill dudes who wanna show off some rad car builds. I really appreciate that.

what I love about car videos and car channels it's all positivty and escapism, no politics, no religion, no disaster porn.
I have been watching a few videos on feminism, wokism, andrew tate, mgtow etc and my feed has been sending me more and more depressing videos. I've rediscovered my passion for cars and I've now been fed quite a few streams of videos about cars and it's really lifted my mood.

Greetings from here in the states love your show, I've been in love with Daihatsu, since I've seen one as a kid , I've always had this idea of using one in an RV "garage" part of a larger vehicle what you would call a caravan I guess with an easy nifty way of carrying and storing it,, to avoid losing some hair, I would have just imported that whole lay flat Daihatsu tanto engine with the turbo, but that wouldn't be as enjoyable as all that alumineium grinding, they really bust your balls over here with that carry-on luggage limit..😅

3-cylinder engines are interesting. Typically they are slightly longer stroke than bore, so they offer good torque and, while they're not as easy to balance as a 4-cylinder, they're still easier than a V6. Toyota has recently demonstrated that 3-cylinder turbocharged engines have long been overlooked as an engine choice. While not necessarily suitable for the massive barges that Americans drive around, they're very suitable for small to mid-sized cars when paired with appropriately designed and tuned turbochargers. Honestly, I can't wait for the G16E-GTS to be available to purchase as a crate motor in more markets, particularly once someone makes a ready-made ECU and harness for it. It's an incredibly compact engine with great power to weight and it's extremely well suited for many engine swaps when you don't need to make more than 450HP (335kW). I imagine it'll be a sweetheart for people looking to build sand-rails and dune buggies due to the light weight and compact size. It wouldn't surprise me if a kit car manufacturer also decided to use it for something, given the compact nature of the engine. Makes it very easy to stuff into a mid-engine configuration, since it's narrower than an inline-4 while offering more than enough power to be very fun.

1:50:37 HAHA when I finally figure out the culprit after weeks of diagnosing, I also chuck the part across my neighborhood. The worst one's are when the part is still working, but just barely so it makes you question other things and then you're wasting time checking fitments, tolerances, even checking the wire harness as a last resort lol.

I have always had a thing for small cars. Even though my first car was a 1970 Chevy Nova SS and I've had Mustangs, F-150's, old Mopars etc. I have also had two MK I Ford Fiestas, a Chevy Spectrum Turbo (rebadged Isuzu I-Mark) and a Suzuki Swift GTi. My current car is a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage and honestly the small cars with a couple of exceptions are my favorites.

This reminds me so well of my Mazda swap I’m currently doing .. I have a Mazda 1.8 bp from a 97 protege . And im trying to drop it into a Mazda mx6 and nothing was working …. Still stuff needs to be modified some how . But I went stand-alone to make wiring super easy. But I had to search part numbers and measurements to find other mounts from other motors that would work .. so far I got two of the main mounts in . Now just trying to get the protege ones to work . Then I’m almost in the clear . I had to mix and match parts from lots of stuff as well to make it work . But with the headache close to done . It’s almost time to finish welding the mounts and then on the home stretch with wiring the car up . I’m kinda excited . It’s also turbo and fully rebuilt block since I found metal shavings in the oil pan when I went to drill hole for bung .. so forged rods and pistons , fingers crossed it fires up like this project and works out in the end .. so many months . Time . Sweat and tears into it .

Diff lash is fairly easy. Put white lithium grease on the front and back of a ring gear tooth, put a little friction on the ring gear with your hand while turning the pinion till it goes 360, and then go backwards. make sure the grease is gone from the middle of both sides of the ring gear tooth. Is it is too much to 1 side or the other, move shims on either side of the diff till you center the pattern on the ring gear tooth.

Hey, I understand that this video is "old," but my wife doesn't want to go to Australia. I'm just trying to drive on a racetrack on all continents that have them. I'm at 3.

36:10 My best theory is maybe they were using the zip ties as cable hooks, so that they wouldnt have to hook whatever was loaded onto that truck by the metal itself, and instead could just use the rings that would be strong enough to hold whatever was being stored. Like anchor points for tying down luggage on a roof rack

That was my thinking too. Lightweight cargo tie down that maybe had too small of hooks to go fit around the bar and didn't have enough strap to hook the strap to itself
