I use starlink now, but I've tried a few different routers and things in the last year or so. The calyx institute has some unlimited hotspots you can get that work pretty well on lake of the woods and red lake during the week, but when the weekend crowds come out, cell towers get pretty congested
Are your solar panels flat on your roof? How many watts is the inverter? Lastly, how much do you have into the system? I have been thinking of going this route by starting with just and inverter and batteries and adding solar later.
Yeah, the panels are flat on the roof, I would like to make new mounts to allow me to tilt them for winter time I haven't gotten there yet. The inverter is around 2400 to 2600 watts, runs the entire house pretty well, with a soft start on the ac it shouldn't have any problems. You can double check the links in the description, but with just the inverter and batteries it was probably around 3k? I'm sure the prices have fluctuated in the last few years. There are cheaper ways to build your own lithium batteries nowadays too. A good resource to check out is "diy solar with will prowse" he has a ton of good technical information about batteries and inverters and all that!
