Oil Painting: There Can Only Be One Dominant Color

In this video, we discuss the idea that there can only be one dominant color (in this case, yellow-brown) and how I adjust its temperature by adding cool or warm colors.
** Adding that using transparent colors like green and purple to enhance the overall effect

Using a dominant color (in this painting, we use an orange-brown) as the foundation, and adjusting its temperature with cool or warm colors. As an artist, you have to learn how to find the right balance between using too much cool tone and sometimes too much warmth.
** Using warm colors (like burnt Sienna) in specific areas to create depth and contrast
** Avoiding overusing mediums in early stages of a painting, especially when working with transparent colors.
