It doesn’t drone. Factory resonator is still installed, but it’s definitely louder than stock. I road tripped it 22 hours round trip this summer and found it to be completely tolerable. When I wanted even less noise I put on noise canceling earbuds. My previous Z had the resonator replaced with an X-pipe, and it droned pretty badly. I would have gone crazy on longer drives with that car.
My uncle had a c4 Zr1 when it first came out just like yours, now I own a C5 Corvette !
