Thank you for defending democracy and for fighting for my freedoms. Your bravery and heroism is inspiring and will never be forgotten!! My Dad was one of you and landed on Omaha Beach during the D-Day invasion and fought his way up the Beach. You are the best of us and the reason the United States of America is looked to as the leader of the free world !! God bless you all and God bless the United States of America; the land of the free and the home of the brave!!! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

God bless these men. They are definitely the absolute best generation to ever live. This countries conduct betrays all the Americans that sacrificed their lives as well as the ones who witnessed their closest friends destroyed and had to carry these memories with them their entire lives. My father was in Europe and Africa during World War II as a medic in a field hospital. My grandfather was called back to service at the age of 40 as drill instructor for the Marine Corps. My Uncle who was a heavily decorated field medic was devastated his entire life from what he witnessed as a filed medic. This country is not even a hallow resemblance of what it once was.

They put the great in the greatest generation. We were fortunate enough to have two WWII veterans in our family. I feel truly fortunate to have heard some of their stories, we miss you Brownie & Norm. Thanks to all now serving, those who have, and those who will in the future. FLY NAVY!!!

My father was a WWII vet who trained at Camp Blanding, Florida. He talked about how hot and humid it was there. When he saw the movie Biloxi Blues, where Matthew Broderick complains of the heat, he roared with laughter.

Heros! Thank you for your service! Some day, my dad and his friends, your fellow soldiers, will salute you and welcome you to heaven heaven.
I'm sad these heros seen the rise in the antisemitism and fascism they fought in their own country.

I love WW2 history,my favorite subject. I learn all i can about it. I'm pumped for June 6th. It's one of my most important days of the year. We had a tough go against the Germans in Europe and the Japanese in the Pacific. We won because of the Greatest Generation. They will soon be gone. Thank you for serving and your sacrifices. We'll never forget. At least I won't. God bless America.

they didn't liberate france from d-day. I'm sure eastern europe holds ceremonies to celebrate their 'liberation' by soviet forces in similar ways as vietnam 'welcomed' the returning french after ww2.

Always has to be one nut that conjures up their Orange Master and inserts him into every conversation possible.
You need to go out and touch some grass or something. 😂😂😂😂
