First off! Thank you to all of our loyal subscribers and supporters!!! You guys keep us motivated and going strong! Secondly, Our channel is based on exploring new music, and creating our own content, NOT BTS. Although we like a few BTS songs our content/lives will never be based on the band. We're grown, we make mistakes and we move on. This will be the last we address toxic Army members! We're not just building a big audience, we're building the right audience. Love ya'll #HF

I’m going to go ahead and unsubscribe. You guys seem resentful that your most passionate subscribers are army and are really defensive when people try and correct you. I think the majority of comments have been really respectful and people just got more fed up here because of mistakes you’ve been called out for before being made again and other mistakes here. If you just want to listen and comment on the music that’s fine but then don’t try and talk about information you’re not sure about even who a member is and then get offended over “toxicity” when fans aren’t happy about you getting it wrong time and again. I wish you guys best for your channel and future endeavors. You’re cool dudes with a cool aquarium but not the content for me rn.

    • @Leelalala
      @Leelalala 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

Absolutely! I appreciate the amount of hard work you put into creating content. I think people need to differentiate the difference between liking a groups music and being a hardcore stan of the group. You can like someones music without needing to delve into the groups names and personalities etc. It's not an obligation. For example I like a lot of groups like Coldplay, Paramore etc but I don't know all the names of the people in the band.
I just wanted to also give you some of my feedback. I think you may need to increase the volume of your mics or decrease the volume of the videos you are reacting to because most of the time when you speak over the video, the mics don't pick up your voices clearly because the BGM is too loud.
I think most casual viewers only watch your videos if their favs are in it, and obviously the most popular bands seem to be BTS and NCT which is why you guys are doing more reactions to it. But I think for longevity of the channel it would be good if you also include other contents to react to such as concert videos, live performances. I know you guys have a patron for this but I think opening this to your TH-cam viewers will help gain even more traffic to your channel as you have another topic to discuss thats not just limited to talking about visuals of the music videos.

@@girlwithluv_and_ugh9975 You being upset about the BS happening in the world does not justify you coming here and being rude to these guys who are learning.. they watch SOO many bands they are obviously going to make mistakes... You can correct them without being offensive.. I can guarantee even those who are the biggest BTS fans mixed them up in the beginning!!! All this immature BS is going to do is deter them from reacting to them and that hurts no one but the guys you claim to love so much

No one expects you to tolerate toxic comments from the minority of BTS fans.. and they ARE the minority frankly I’ve seen only a handful in ALL your BTS videos. But if you’re going to pin a message like that at the top which doesn’t really hide your impression of the BTS army and tarnishing all of us with the same brush then I’m gonna give you the respect of unsubscribing.
Btw... It’s ok if some watch your videos only to watch their fav group? I’ve seen NCT fans do the sameness your other videos..it’s fine. But you commented somewhere in the comments below.. “Why is it only BTS army that give us these comments” - or something like that. When you reacted with baby army to “ Run” you still clearly displayed your disdain. There are toxic people in ALL groups and since the army is massive there will be a larger proportion of those. I subscribe to many channels who react to BTS. Most come across this small amount of toxicity but they don’t keep going on about it. I wanted to keep watching your channel because when you give BTS such praise it’s so great to hear. But no worries it’s just me..you will get many more subscribers I’m sure of it.
      Best wishes!

Respectfully, this was far from their breakthrough in the US market. This is just their first all English single and Hot 100 #1. They had other Top 10 singles before this song. They've been ruling the US sales and streaming charts for over 2 years straight. Their break into the US market would be,at the latest, 2017 with DNA as the first Korean performance on American TV with their live performance at the AMAs. They actually had albums charting before that.
And the founder of Big Hit Entertainment and BTS is Bang ShiHyuk, a musician, writer and music producer himself.

Oh and I wish people would stop complaining when reactors compare BTS to other artists. The brain AUTOMATICALLY connects what we don’t know to what we do know. That’s how we learn. It’s ok to say this sounds like a Bruno Mars track as long as you take that at face value and realize that they are still not Bruno Mars. I think they do appreciate BTS for themselves.

It's really important to know because the commentary in the video you watched implies they did it to appease America which has a negative connotation. They chose to keep the original song after they received it and released it intending to give ARMYs simple joy. Nothling too hard to think about because of COVID and just JAM OUT.

This wasn't really anything to do about breaking into the American market. BTS' previous title track "ON" debuted at #4 on the Hot 100 with next to zero radio and 14 missing hours of tracking (which Billboard still hasn't explained, by the way) so it was obvious that their next track, regardless of language, would have given them that #1. BTS explained that they were looking for a track to bring energy to ARMYs and bring a little bit of joy in difficult times, when they were presented with Dynamite. They tried changing the lyrics to Korean, like they often do, but all of the members agreed that the lyrics and the vibe of the song sounded better in English. I think it's also important to mention that this isn't BTS' first all-English song, though granted, the other songs did have/were features.

They didn’t do this song to “break into” the western market. BTS has never cared about that. They wanted to give a little piece of joy to ARMY during the pandemic and chose to keep the lyrics in english to do so. They have stated over and over that they will always stay true to to their Korean roots and put out music in their native language. This was a one off. Their main focus is creating good music with the messages they want to convey, not breaking into any particular market or region. Thank you for the reaction!

About the music video comment, BTS is actually known for very limited edits. Like no green screens or additional stuff. For example in Fake Love, when JungKook runs across the falling stairs, that was actually real even though people thought it was special effects.

  • @armystacinator6732
    @armystacinator6732 3 ปีที่แล้ว +113

You guys are all kinds of confused, lol. And I don't mean that in a disrespectful way. You just don't know them well enough yet to know who is who. They also change their hair all the time so that throws people off as well. First of all, Jin is the one they scouted on the streets and had zero singing or dancing experience. V had talents in dancing and singing but his father told him to learn an instrument if he wanted to do something with music. BTS was known in America but they had never been able to reach #1 on Billboard or get played on any radio because their songs were in Korean. Even though they are huge world wide, have had top album sales, and top singles. And have broken tons of TH-cam records. If they wanted to reach #1 on billboard and get a possible Grammy they needed a song in English. And so far it has worked with Dynamite. And LC I get what you were saying. That is the rabbit hole that is BTS is their versatility. That's why so many ARMY are wanting you to see more and more BTS. You did also mix up V and Jungkook, lol. Jungkook is the center a lot of the time and sings a lot of the main vocals. V was in the green vest and pants and was the one at the very end putting on the sunglasses. I would highly recommend you guys watch a couple more guides for BTS. "This Is BTS: Introduction pt 1" by Xceleste, and also by her either "BTS Hardships" or "BTS From Nobodies to Legends". You guys are doing great though 💜💜💜

When Jung kook said a cup of milk , milk is from the commercial "got milk" which was from the '80s. But if you go and look at the mama performance for 2020 you will see the Michael Jackson references in this song. And you can actually see references to Michael Jackson in the video. This was another feel-good song that connects to the pandemic .

V did have a bit of training before joining as he wanted to do music as a living and his parents told him he should play an instrument and so he took saxophone lessons for a couple of years and tried singing and dancing but was told he wasn’t good enough....fast forward to BigHit saying m “hey get over here” and look where he is now. (That wasn’t actually what they said, but yeah, they wanted him)...😎. Jin was the member who had zero prior training and was hoping to be an actor.💜 v was the member in the suit and who put the glasses on at the end....

BTS has been seriously promoting in the West since at least 2017, even though they have been here before that. Dynamite was a one-off song to lift the spirits of all of us who are struggling/feeling hopeless during 2020 due to COVID. It just became like a “breakout” because it debuted at #1 in the Hot 100, and was #1 for a total of three weeks. What also became #1 in the Hot 100 was “Life Goes On” and also a remix of “Savage Love” with BTS featured in it. So technically, BTS had three different songs to hit #1 on the Hot 100 in a span of three months.

They have performed and won prizes in Billboard, AMA, MTV awards, etc.. and now they just recently got nominated for a Grammy award but before in 2019 and 2020 they already attended it twice.

Thing is BTS was already so big in the western market, they charted on the top 5 of the hot 100 without major playlisting and without the radio playing their music. Dynamite was recorded in hopes of bringing joy to ppl during the pandemic and they did it in English so the song lyrics can reach to ppl all around the world, so like BTS said the song was a gift that they didn’t expect to become such a hit. After it was released radio stations started playing the song and the song had playlisting and many non fans checked it out resulting to the track going #1 and being the first song by a Korean artists to do so, the track blocked a lot of other hits like WAP and new releases (I could list down if I could all of the major achievements no Korean or Asian artists was able to achieve until BTS Dynamite was released, but the list would be long🤔) it’s still disappointing that the radio stations started playing Dynamite bc it was an English track but anyways after that BTS was able to chart a remix and their full Korean track Life Goes On which again didn’t get the playlisting or radio play like Dynamite, to #1 and making history again. The remix of Savage Love even blocked Dynamite from a #1 and LGO is the first Korean track to go #1. I just wanted to comment all of this to show that BTS is making history and that the western industry is trying to push them to not be able to make that sort of impact but BTS had already broken in the western industry and making history since 2015-2016, but it was ignored bc back then they didn’t promote in the US at all and ppl thought that after a few years they would fail to make any impact in the western market but now they simply are becoming a threat to the industry and BTS will just continue to create hit after hit despite the xenophobic treatment they get from the media, radio stations etc

Also, i know the guide you saw made it seem like the release of Dynamite was very calculated, and that it was their breakthrough to the american market. It was not, they broke through years ago, and this was released as something hopeful and fun for army during the pandemic. It got them their first number 1 on billboard, which RM has expressed as bittersweet, as I think he would have loved for one of their korean songs to be the first. But they got number one on billboard hot 100 with Life Goes On a few months later 💜💜

Dynamite has nothing to do with break into America. BTS own USA charts already. Before Dynamite BTS has 4 no 1 album in BB 200 charts, ON ( Map of the soul 7, title track, Korean) debuted at 4 in Billboard hot 100 with no radio play.
BTS themselves said multiple times they DID NOT release Dynamite to gain anything. World was going through tough days, they simply wanted to make their ARMY happy, with a fun happy song to remind us that if we can not be happy, they are here to make us happy with their music. The reason why this song is in English because the demo song was in English and BTS heard it and felt the song is perfect, changing language will effect the song. So they keep in in English.

When BTS finds a song they usually tweak the lyrics to suit them and change some lyrics into Korean. When they got Dynamite, they said that it was perfect the way it was so they didn’t have to change anything. BTS has never get the need to perform an English song. That said, since this is a disco 80s track with so many American references, it definitely would have lost its appeal if they sing it in Korean. BTS did not do this song to break into English speaking parts of the world. They were already here. They’ve been selling out stadiums in America for YEARS. I’ve been a fan since 2018 and I was late to the party in America. Also, Jin didn’t have experience. V was the guy at the end who put his glasses back on.
I hope you don’t think I’m ragging on you. I’m not. Just clarifying. I LOVE your reactions. Smart reactors are few and far between. Keep up the good job.

This song literally was a song to bring some uplifting to us during covid. It’s meant to be fun and colorful, lifting our spirits. With that breakthrough comment, Honestly, I would suggest learning the journey of BTS first and then listen to them in order as you can see the growth of their career and how the impact was made WAY before this song. It’s a great guide and very recent and gives some good insight into BTS discography but it DOES prominently highlight Dynamite as an effort by BTS to take on the US music industry so chill on being mad at them. They aren’t going to know the nuance and that ON charted at #4 and others, etc, without more time.
They like some BTS songs but it’s clearly not their fav group and that’s okay. The fact that they like other groups more does not detract from BTS’s artistry, success, talent, or dominance of the music industry. People have different tastes.

The song is inspired by Michael Jackson and the dance moves reflect that with a lot of disco and 80s pop thrown in. WHEN DID ARMY BECOME THIS SENSITIVE?? Tell me, i'll take ANY exlanation or excuse into consideration.. SOME people in HERE are being WAY TOO harsh on these guys. LISTEN!
Name me ONE other Channel that reacts to 3-5 different groups and songs PER DAY. You know, that means, that if they react to BTS song, let's say Once every 5 days, during that 5 day period, theyve already reacted to At Least 15-20 other songs from Different groups. I dont blame them at all for not getting every single detail or mixing some of their names or faces. That is INSANE amount or groups/members/content these guys are putting out in a week already. Some people in here are being too hard on them... They literally JUST started to react to Kpop in general, LIKE A MONTH AGO!!! Nyt I'm sure, since they are clearly loving it, they are eventually starting to remember the KEY things on each group as they go on with these reactions. And YES, i've seen some of my fellow ARMYs being sensitive about issues in other channels as well, but Come ON!! Give these guys a break since they are NOT BTS FOCUSED channel. This is not an exam where you HAVE TO know certain things before the deadline. If I were them, after reading these kinds of comments i've seen here, I SOON WOULDNT even wanna be learning anything, and that really breaks my heart. THIS IS A RANT!☹🙄 PEOPLE are correcting them in the right things, BUT the tone/WAY some of these comments are written is just Wrong. Its like people EXPECT that they "should already know them" When I was only A MONTH into my BTS journey, even I couldnt tell them apart in Every MV, or remember everything I had heard about them prior. They are currently JUST month into getting to know at LEAST 10 other groups at the same time with BTS. That should already explaine my POINT of view on this. 💜🤟🙏

They can just enjoy the music they hear, and I'm sure that with time, they will start to recognize members from different groups. This is the kind of content they have choose to put out, and just like they said, if someone is not interested or isnt feeling it, then they shouldnt watch. There is no reason to Make this into an issue where they have to recieve hate for the thing they say or just doesnt know yet. Story time!
They were in the process of creating their album “BE” when they stumbled upon Dynamite.
They tried to do it in Korean but they changed it back to English because it sounded better when it was originally given to them.
They didn’t really participate in the writing process of this one.
And since they were writing and working on their album BE at the time, they thought of releasing Dynamite as a gift to fans and to cheer them up. They weren’t that active in the months before Dynamite and BE was released because they were focused on working on the album. Just to buy some time and give fans something from them “like hey we’re still chilling here’s our first full english song”
They promoted Dynamite really well because it was the only song that can really pierce through the music industry. It’s an addicting song in english and everyone needs it. If you don’t know BTS then you probably know them now.
BTS knows the racism and xenophobia they face- being constantly asked if they can ever release a full english album. Dynamite is proof that if BTS spoke english and people weren’t racist and xenophobic- they would be pushing off people from the charts everyday.
Funny how this full english song is simply a dabble of their artistry and yet people gobble it up better than their hard hitting and emotional songs.

I recommend the B Side MV for Dynamite to see some of the bloopers and their personality shining through. Obviously it's the same track, just different video clips mixed in. Also noteworthy to point out that yes Dynamite is an all English track that became the first #1 on BB hot 100, but this wasn't to favor an American audience; it's just a fun track to build a happier mood after this entire bleak pandemic.

I think I remember ya'll saying this is your full-time job right now so it comes off as super unprofessional that you don't take the time and do research before a video. You could have a notebook of each group so you can keep track of them better. I also feel like you all have been skewed by the view that BTS is the biggest Kpop group so your expectations are higher for them and you judge them way more harshly than you do all the other groups, that's probably just a stretch but I have seen ya'll react to some basic-ass songs and go nuts over it, it just kinda comes off as fake. I know ya'll are probably just doing a couple of months of reactions just to gain a following so you can put your work out there, and I don't blame you for that because the struggle is real, but if you aren't putting in much effort for reaction vids, it's gonna be hard for me to take your art seriously too. Just my two cents, no hate.
Edit: I read this back after getting a couple of likes and feel bad for being so harsh, I’m really not trying to hate on you guys, I promise. It really sucks when you get super excited to see a reaction to a group/ song you love and they don’t end up vibing with the song, comparing it to other songs/ artists, or getting a ton of info about the artist wrong. But in the end, that’s on me and I shouldn’t have an expectations going in to a reaction video because it’s literally YOUR reaction. Lol I know you all have been putting out hella content and you’re going to make mistakes because you’re human, I just want to let you know that other channels also post daily but keep notes about each group to keep track of everyone. Nominated for a Grammy by the way. You guys have minimized just about every BTS song you have reacted to. And do not compare them to Bruno Mars...two totally separate kind of artists.

I agree with everything everyone else is saying and Tae is defo coming to wreck every armys bias and bias wreckers lists especially with that smile at the end, also my Jiminie i still cant get over him and that ‘finger bang’ he does he owns it, also the way he looks into the camera and stares into your soul and heart. Also ther dancing and vocals (especially the raplines as i wasnt expecting them to not rap at all) and attitude they give off is just perfect. Also for being their very first song fully in english just goes to show that they have improved alot (from what i have heard and read Korean is easier to learn than english).
Also the fact that every Army right now is being biased wrecked by every member including their bias just goes to show how perfect and amazing these guys are and that they do such an amazing job with what they do as well

BTW YG had nothing to do with any BTS member. Or for that matter, any other Big3 company who actually tried to put roadblocks to crush their progress with their power and money.
Bruno Mars was NOT the inspiration for Dynamite. Michael Jackson was.

    • @sugasmeow

They didn’t say Bruno Mars was the inspiration for the track. They said it sounded like it could be a Bruno Mars track....and it certainly is his style of music. BTS never said MJ inspired this song. They didn’t even write this song.

@@sugasmeow "sounds like" means "inspired by" or "copied".
BTS did not have to say who inspired them.
They danced in honour of their inspiration in one of their performances of Dynamite.
How much louder than that can they be?
Even if the song is not written or produced by them or Bighit staff, their idea, their knowledge of what they are doing and what they want pushes their songs. *They* wanted the song *That* way. *They* left the words in English because they thought it would suit the vibe better.
By they I mean those involved in Bighit, especially the boys as this album BE is almost entirely their production.

@@RS-oy6bz sounds like does not mean inspired by. Inspired by means they said “I’m going to make this song based upon the sound of mj.” They didn’t write this song. Whomever wrote the song may have been inspired by mj, I don’t know. Yes, there are a lot of references to mj in the video, but there are references to kid n play, too. Was the video inspired by kid n play? I doubt it. The whole song and video reference the 80s. Mj was a huge influence in the 80s.

@@sugasmeow I am just stating facts as I follow details being a hardcore fan.
      Fact one
Google around and you will find info where it is specifically stated it is the music of 1970s, MJ era,
      Fact 2
Search for "Dynamite with Michael Jackson dance break" and youtube will take you to this where they pay homage to MJ in their dance break.
      Fact 3
You seem to imply when writers or producers are from outside the company it just takes what it gets. No. They see if what it gets is what it wants. Go to army XCeleste's channel and listen to an interview with one who composed music for a song in the album and was surprised it was accepted without changes and cuts.
I am out of this discussion now, because I have no idea why you are insisting the song has no direction or base.

The only reason it’s in English was because the demo was in English and they liked it the way it was so they said “fck it, let’s sing it in English” 😂😂

I have been a subscriber for some time now and am guilty of only watching bts reactions. I am sorry about that. But I have an explanation.
One BTS song offers so much...the mv, the explanation video, the live performances and listening to other people reacting to it. Not that I don't listen to other songs. But am not invested in them.
In fact, I am here for most premiers of bts songs.
I do enjoy your reactions, except when you criticise army generally. It hurts.
This song was NOT to appease the Americans. They wanted to make a peppy song for their fans in these hard times to keep the concept of album BE (pandemy) and English suited the vibes.

Jin is the one with no musical or any on stage performance experience and had to learn everthing from scratch... Not V
And Dynamite was not to "break into US market " but just a light hearted song with positive energy to brighten up the days for all around the world and English is the most feasible language for broader reach.
