This is actually very educational.

That is one thing that always feels a little off in monogatari that sets the characters apart. Shinobu always speaks like a Goddess like she is beyond mere mortals. She uses a higher dialect.
Hachikuji speaks in a way that is deliberately a little childish while always speaking with the wit and charms of someone much older. That really fits as her character is someone who grew older but whose mouth never grew up to speak the words of an older person, because she is dead.
