Bloody brilliant video mate! Love the whole documentary style to it, very professional. I'm shocked you've never been to Cardiff before as you are the master of set locations! I've been about 4 times and it is just brill. Went to the old one in the Red Dragon Centre twice, when it first opened and before it closed, went to the Smith style experience and the Capaldi one. Much prefer the Capaldi one as it has that timeless feel, while the Smith one would feel quite dated as it was all about Series 5, so with the Capaldi one being more general it can feel fresh at any time. I got so many chills in the opening of it! Walking down the main area of the bay is just surreal as it gives me all those great memories of watching the RTD era. Could tell you had an absolute ball and I'm so glad you did. P.S. when I last went to Cardiff last year, I had downloaded a bunch of Big Blue Box Podcast episodes to my phone. We were in the car driving down to Cardiff with a portable DVD player and I was happily listening to your and Gary's Eleventh Hour commentary while watching the episode! You two certainly made the trip go faster :)
got the t shirt from Matt smiths time of the doctor there back when I went Capuldi had not even filmed his first seens yet he had just been announced to be the next doctor
looks like you went on a day when they turned the fountain off. The turned it off for a long stretch of months but they had it running constantly for a while.
hello i'm going to the Doctor Who experiance in July and i was wondering whether in the shop they sell the stuff that you got in the bag (especially the wrist band and key). Also do they sell Doctor Who Funko Pops in the store
My god! The 80's console room and TARDIS!!!! Best ever!!!!! No other Police Box prop comes close IMO. Only constant disappointment for me (since Longleat in 83) is the perpetual absence of the greatest robot prop ever... Kamelion.
when you went to the separate building and you went into the twelfth doctors tardis, was that part of the normal experience (the first building shown in the first half of the video)?
They only do the TARDIS set tours at certain times of the year when they're not filming. But when they do you have to pay extra when you purchase your Experience ticket if you want it included. It's in a separate building really close to the Experience.
They have updated the expirience since I went last month. So jealous . I bought th 4th doctors paint pallet badge I did a review if you would care to have a look . Thanks.
