My own head canon is that they built the first Maron station & harbor years ago, but then abandoned it when the North Western Railway formed & the new station at Maron is built. Why would the developers place an Old Maron on the Maron-Suddery line is beyond me, but you know, “Typical Backwards Sodor Logic”.
