I'm 58 years old. You talked about when you are knocked down flat on you back the only way to look is up. This problem with my eye has given me new vision. I've always been a Christian, but I didn't get up every morning praising God for his blessings on me. Now every morning,, I get up and thank god for letting me see another day, to able to play the music that I love and protecting my voice so I can sing. Hang in there. God hasn't given up on you and neither of have your You Tube fans that follow your guitar lessons.
Praise the Lord! 😄 I recently had esophageal cancer, they caught it early because I was persistent. The blessing was I had so many opportunities to point people to Christ and I received so much love throughout. God is good no matter our circumstances!

Top off the stroke I was in 2 accidents one 2013 , second in 2016. Thru 2013 accident I started learning guitar, I felt " pregnant' about playing, it happened when I was watching the Voice. 2016 accident - God spoke to me & told me I was going to work for Him ( I told Him, I always thought I did) . These accidents , especially 2016 did some damage to my back & right knee & hip. Thru this God is breaking my pride ( I need to depend on people to get things done for me . I am used to giving not receiving) and when someone offered me help I said no I can do it . Then 1 day God spoke to me & said if you won't accept My help in the little how will I use you for what I called you to do ? I wept . To be used by God , it has to be Him doing the work through you not you doing the work & expecting God results. Like a wild Mustang being broken so he can be ridden

I will be sure to keep you and your family in my prayers. If they did not tell you; make sure you take your medicine in the morning 40 minutes before you eat in order for it to work effectively and do not take it with OJ. On a side note, I do want you to know that you have been a great inspiration to me. I have been following you for 4 years now, when I started learning to play guitar. I didn't know it then, but shortly in that first year I would be diagnosed with Lupus. Keep doing what you do. You make a difference. God is faithful!!

Praise God 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Glad to see you're back home Matt! I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism when I was 22 back in 2014. It's been a scary rollercoaster since but know that God is always with you!!! Once your hormones and everything else returns to normal then it's smooth sailing from there. My best advice 1) take your meds. and DON'T skip your doctor visits 2) reduce your process foods intake 3) excise to release any stress or anxiety
