Such an interesting video xxx Thanks for sharing. I was offered trikafta when my baby boy was born. It was extremely overwhelming. In an instant my whole life changed. My whole identity changed over night, not only was i given the new title of mum i felt i was stripped of my cf badge. Even now when i speak about cf, i have found my self saying “when i had cf, or when i used to be sick” lol. I am so so grateful for my new life and these wonderful drugs but there is so much that comes with it also. My size 6 frame is a thing of the past. I feel like i have all this pressure to makes something of my life now (i believe transplant patients feel the same) x I am glad you are doing so well lovely ! Nice to meet you ❤️❤️ Your doing amazing! xxx
Thank you for sharing your story with me. I completely understand. I also use the phase ‘when I used to be sick’. It’s weird isn’t it!? I hope you and your baby boy and doing well. Your experience as a cfers come with a wealth of wisdom. He is lucky to have you. All the best! ❤️
@@BethinnEvansHello. Do you have a difficult experience through which you can tell the answer to one question, please tell me, if sputum, which occurs with purulent bronchitis or, for example, with bronchiectasis, is always swallowed, then can it somehow negatively affect? The main thing is that the sputum comes out of the respiratory tract and it can be safely swallowed without worrying about any harm? As far as I understand, the main thing is to cough up and clear the airways, and when swallowing, sputum is processed like any food and this process is physiological.

Hi Jess. New lungs do not have ‘cystic fibrosis cells’ so they do not get re-infected over time. I hope this answers your question :)
