Sean Malik thanks Sean, I used a mic for ‘tis but have since learnt that it doesn’t work so well when I stay too far away. Definitely going to upgrade soon!
Cool vid! I use a Kingjoy 4208 carbon tripod, levelling bowl, ( no centre column) and lightweight Manfrotto video head, with ARCA SWISS clamp conversion. Stands 1550mm high, solid as a rock, and 2.9 kg all up weight. About $550 all up cost.
Get a lapel microphone that clips to your collar. I've noticed that TH-cam content creators that use them are very well understood. Love your photographs and galleries.
I’m not getting rid of my manfrotto though it’s still best with a heavier camera but now that I have a mirror less a lighter tripod does a good job too
Hi Mark enjoyed the video, it refreshed my mind about tripods, thanks. A couple of questions what remote are you using with the Sony? and does the positioning of your tripod matter when shooting i.e are the legs put in a certain position one leg to the front 2 to the side for example. Thanks
Wayne Nanasi that’s great to hear Wayne. I’m using the genuine Sony one but I must admit the connector on the camera is quite flimsy and I feel it may break easy. Something they could definitely improve. The position of the legs only really matters when there’s strong wind, water rushing around the legs or your on a steep surface. Just think about streamlining when making the decision where to direct them. On a slant, one uphill, two down. Hope that helps!
Wonderful explanation, thank you for the video
Thanks for watching Keith, glad you enjoyed it and learnt some new things. 😊
Hi mark keep up good work
Shane Woodbury thanks Shane will do!
Great video Mark. Maybe a good microphone can make it even better.

thankyou Mark, that answered a lot of my questions I have been looking for a new one for ages.
Glad to hear it helped! 😊

Patrick Parisienne thanks Patrick, sounds like a good affordable setup 👍
What brand do you use? There is noise at the moment you mentioned it and I can’t make out what is said.
Brand and model? thank you!
Hi Kelly, I use an Arca-Swiss D4 head and Manfrotto 055 legs, hope that helps!
@@MarkGrayPhoto thank you!!

Thanks for the tip, yes a mic definitely would have helped for this one 👍
I’ve just bought a carbon fibre Sirui with ball head and I love it. I did trust a Manfrotto for the previous 20 years 😊
Behind my lens that’s awesome, Sirui offer great value for money. 👌

Behind my lens good idea, just keep an eye on the wind at all times. Cheers

Microphone? Hard to hear bud
mat v sorry to hear that, I used a microphone, is your volume up?
mat v just tested on the TV and agreed it’s definately quiet on there sorry about that, it’s fine on my phone, I might invest in a better microphone!
