  • What I look for and think about when coaching catches. Catches are a very hard thing to master but the payoff in stroke length and, therefore, power in the water is absolutely worth the effort.

    Another excellent analysis. If someone disagrees with you it only indicates their lack of understanding of what a rower needs to do inside and outside the boat to make it go fast and unimpeded.

    Great info! Thank you! Recently I was watching a video by Edge rowing and Jack was saying that when blades enter the water there is a little pocket of air in front of the air which should disappear before pressure is applied by them. I found this a bit weird and in any case I never heard of this. Have you any idea about this? I ask because of course Obreno would then look like not following this idea and his technique looks pitch perfect in this race especially!
