    As a fellow Canadian -- so proud of you !! At 64, I've attempted many of your designs for my first Grandson's upcoming baby shower. My daughter asked, "when did you become a cookie decorating expert?" When I found Stephanie at Little Cookie Co. -- that's when. Thanks so much!! Love, love love your tutorials -- by far the best instructor on TH-cam. And you make it doable.
    All the best for Christmas & always.

      Don't worry about it, you'll get there. It's definitely a process and takes a lot of practice. But with every set you will learn more and get better I promise! I've seen many people start out and now I'm just mind blown have far they've come. My cookoes used to look terrible when I started, so don't give up, you got this!

    thank you for doing it in real time, I went to a dcorating class and the instructor said I was going to fast, its because I had been watching all the speeded up tutorials.... I am such a perfectionist it’s sickening lol, I am one who wants to be good at something like right now now days/ or mths or even yrs later I want to be that good now I’m having a hard time training myself to know hardly anyone is great right away so I’ve been trying to train myself that it will take practice uugh having such a hard time with that I get so frustrated I want to give up I know I know practice makes perfect dad told
    Me this all my Life even as an adult lol but just know your cookies are absolutely gorgeous I’m still blown away at how a round cookie gets turned into these thank you so much for you awesome tutorial one I can truly follow and understand thank you keep up the great work you are amazing

      Thank you so much, you are too kind!!! I am kind of similar to you where I want to be good at things right away and it's so hard cause you really just need to dive in and give it a go and for things that don't work out try to better them. But let me tell you, there's no better satisfaction of trying so hard and then nailing it finally when you've perfected everything!! It's such an accomplishment! So just be patient and I promise the first ones you make will be pretty good! We are our own worst critics, so just keep that in mind!!

      Thank you 🥰🥰 if you have tips on hand, like any round hole tips that's fine. If you have regular piping bags you could technically use those but the seam may pull your icing to be not so straight. Or you can use bottles as well, like icing bottles.

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! I always use 2 consistencies, but if you're only using 1, you would normally have it thicker than a regular flood, so it wouldn't be so prone to cratering. So you wouldn't need the squiggle.

    When you add the black, is the base color partially dried or fully dry

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The base is partially dry, so it has crusted over but if I push my finger on the icing it would push through. But you can pipe and it will stay on top of the cookie

    Why did you not put squiggles on the top red section before you flooded it?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes if I think the area is big enough I won't do it. Or if I'm piping on a layer of icing that is just crusted over it I may not as it's not always needed. Or if I'm using my outline to fill it then I won't squiggle either

  • @barbarawachob580
    @barbarawachob580 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are the squiggles to prevent craters? How long before you finish filling?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! They help prevent craters. I usually do the squiggly and then flood right after! I don't wait for it to dry!

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Which cookie was it? I've posted so many videos I'm not sure anymore 🙈🤣 but if you are doing any wet on wet designs it's always best to use your flood for the dots. If it's dots on dry icing and you get peaks you can try using your flood with almost no pressure on the bag or you can use your outline but then touch the top with your scribe and sort of push down the peak or lay it a bit flat!

    • @cathymartin3379
      @cathymartin3379 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LittleCookieCo the first Christmas tree in this video with the little red dots as garland. I thought from your video its dry on dry, I did try pushing them down but they were stubborn lol. I'll try again with your suggestions, thanks again!

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah ok! Sorry yes, I know what you mean now. And it was on dry icing, but it could be your icing is a bit stiff so when you pull up it's coming up. Mine also may look perfect but they do sometimes have a bit of a peak too. Try going in with the scribe or thinning down your icing just slightly, and when you put the dot on, make sure your bag is right above the cookie and almost squish the dot if icing against your cookie then let go of the pressure and lift up. Hopefully that will help break the tail and not have it stick up so much

    • @cathymartin3379
      @cathymartin3379 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LittleCookieCo I'll keep that in mind for my next try, thank you! When you suggest thinning down the icing, I'm presuming i have to empty the bag back into a bowl, thin it then put it back into a bag? I'm guessing there's no way to thin what you are already using in the bag?

    • @LittleCookieCo
      @LittleCookieCo  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you'd have to put it back into the bowl. I mean you could add a touch of water to the bag and smash it around til mixed 🤣 but it's probably not the best method and you may add too little or too much water. I'd only re mix some water if it was really bad (it bugged you a lot) or your scribe wasn't doing the job well. But I can guarantee most people wouldn't notice those tiny details. You could also just knock them off with the scribe too once dry, I've also done that a few times 🤣🤣 fun and effective haha
