Armin, you're my favorite archery channel. I'm new to archery and a bit late to the game but I've learned a lot from observing and wish I was anywhere close to Malta. Though I can't quite pinpoint your accent 😅
Awesome video quality as always. Im ordering their 70lb one will let u guys know how it shoots
why only 2 digits draw weight? you should make shirt merch that say it if not 3 digits i ain't shooting it
@@antwantuan4040 unfortunately....most companys make
@@antwantuan4040 trust me i tried...been pushing them
Guys if Armin tells you to use especially heavy arrows: DO IT!
I shoot slightly below 12gpp
The blisters on my hand are manageable but the pain in my bones is a little concerning =D
I love this bow so much and want to Master it one day so maybe i took it a little too far with over 100 shots per shooting day (4-5 times per week)
Anyways.
Thank you Armin for your reviews and tutorials! You made me fall in love with asiatic archery
Really enjoying your bow reviews. I'm just getting into Asiatic archery coming from a western/recurve background and am really enjoying this style of shooting. Thinking of upgrading my bow as I progress and I find myself relying on your advice!
Wow that manchu/Qing laminated bow is fantastic💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You should do a comparison between the Zhuran and Hou Yi
Ohh I really want to see that
I'm so interested in the zhuran
Yes zhuran gen 2..i need your opinion first before i get it.
get it! did the video today, need to edit and upload - but get one (voucher code Armin10 will be available soon)
hello armin how are you? Can you tell me between this arch and the other with a bamboo view, did you notice any difference? which prefer? I see they are almost the same. Thanks a lot
So glad you didn't say black belly bam a lam, because when you do I sing that line all day. So thanks for not saying it. .....Ohhh crap....🎤🎶
Pretty Manchu bow! Looks like 🐯
Hi! Armin 😀 I do not see myself with a Manchu bow but that one is beautiful.
On your way of shooting they make it look elegant. Cheers 😃👍
My favorite bow 😍
Another great video for a beautiful bow. Spot on, Armin. Cheers from Canada👍😎🏹🇨🇦
Armin,good day from QLD Australia.
Is there a benefit to resting arrow on left side of bow and right side of bow ?
I've seen you rest arrows on both left and right side.
Like on finger left side and on thumb right side.
different techniques, with different benefits. I did many videos about that topic
@@ArminHirmer thanks ,i am trying to do catch up, I'm 65 yo and just began an interest in archery about 12 months ago.
I'm a new subscriber to your channel.
I appreciate your work or labour of love and I'm learning a great deal.
I never knew the intrisities of this sport.
Mine is all target shooting.
Already I'm doing my own arrow fletching etc.
Enjoy your day.
@@scetchport enjoy your way of the bow, stay open minded, there is so much to learn and have fun with in archery :)
of course the start doing free shipping 2 months after i bought a bow!
For the next one then :)
AF bow prices in USA have gone up by the same amount as the shipping price. The bow I have been contemplating would cost the same now as a couple of months ago, shipping included. Longer ago the shipping price was higher. So I am not trying to make that comparison...
No way! Aww shitty man life is full of surprises whether good or bad.
@@0ooTheMAXXoo0 i bought a yuan oak bow which was 200 plus 100 shipping. it's now 240 with free shipping so still a reasonable savings.
They reduced the prices during the hard time with expensive shipping to compensate for it
How would u compare this new updated AF Manchu to the first AF Qing?
feels the same for me, just looks different (and if I am picky, the new one kicks a bit more :D )
Do the heavy arrows shoot pretty flat out to 20 yards, or would a bow designed for lighter arrows shoot flatter at that distance?
the Manchus used their bows in close range fighting. Even competed with muskets. Definitely not meant for long range shooting like nomadic tribes etc
Armin, when you put the bow on the tiller board (just after measuring the draw weights) the left limb seemed to be a bit stiffer than the right one, did you notice that as well?
a bit maybe, but it was filmed in an angle not plain straight
@@ArminHirmer True, but you can nevertheless still see a slight difference in contour in the limbs, it's definitely there. That said, it's very minor, and well within acceptable (and more importantly; safe) limits for a production bow like this in my opinion, I would not have any doubt about the safety of this bow. It would be a good idea to designate that slightly softer limb as the top limb in my opinion to optimize shooting performance (though I think that's already the case looking at the position of the writing).
@@SmithLouis I guess its tough to get them completely equal, so one simply chooses the weaker one for the top and its good :)
The unpainted version is actually 229$ including shipping, not 299$. Also, they obviusly raised the base prices so they can include shipping cost. That being said, these news are still awesome :) unpainted 'gentleman' manchu for 229$ - 10% voucher code? Too bad I just ordered something from Peter Bogár!
Beautiful bow! And they finally got the shipping issue out of the way! Great job AF archery I'm still shooting my Sai Cai after 2 years and still love it. Great review as usual my friend!
thank you
This is a lovely review and I am sure the clash of the two Manchu’s will follow soon , excited about the comparison.
hehe yepp once Alibows Manchu is here for sure
@@ArminHirmer I am thrilled for that one. Probably need both.
Sir , can you make a remake video for korean horn bow review ? Thank you🙏
I don’t have this now, it was not mine
👍
Manchu power! ;)
It seems slow and a lot of noise. But seems to be a good shooter and very pretty
thats part of being a Manchu bow :)
Its seems natural for manchu bows. I have a 60lb manchu bow and it makes rpetty much the same loud sound as the lower poundage manchu bows.
Is it because of string bridges
@@davidlargen6945 I think so and also what the string bridges are made from possibly.
Well... I ordered the same bow, with the same painting, @45 pounds ( I have a bow @72 pounds so 45 is nothing) on the 15th of last month and paid $50.00 US for shipping. Such is life...
Some countries ship by default with FedEx, then it costs
Nice, btw Alibow just released their laminated version of Manchu bow. When will you review it?
should be on the way, so soon I hope
Thought this review was the Alibow one before I clicked on the video. Oh well
oh, no I think my wallet is cowering in a corner now
With the free shipping it's a hard choice to get this or the yarha from alibow for my first manchu bow
👏🇮🇪
Manchu bow and arrow is not about speed, it's about big momentum.
It his with authority! ^^
yes
Not bad just not for me.
Hi Armin, what is the overall difference between this and the new Manchu(Qing) bow besides the tiger stripes painting?
As I showed in the video, the string bridges are. A bit further apart nothing serious different
That bow looks pretty tough to shoot, I have a 25 pound recurve bow which is nice to use
No shipping from AF? That's good news indeed 😁
Siema, : ) spoko film...
Pozdrawiam.
Cześć.
The Takedown Tatar, formerly $269+$50 shipping has now gone up to $319 ;) But for all other bows the free shipping seems good news :)
A few weeks ago we still had 120 usd shipping, so for me it’s fine
I also noticed that they increased the base price by 50$. Seemed still like a good deal if shipping is free, so I just wanted to order a Tatar take down. But at checkout another 50$ was added for shipping to Germany! So no free shipping, and in the end the price was pretty much the same as months ago with 120$ shipping. Hhmmm, I did not placed the order then. Did not feel right.
so around 800 grain at 34-35 inches? That's doable :-p
