Okay can someone offer some advice I have a 98 chevy tracker 4 door and I have a bottom bolt on the front passenger strut that is stuck in the knuckle I've tried PB blaster, WD40, raw man power and a hammer, impact, and a torch, the bolt is rounded off and it's not moving.
Mr. Farley, I have a 97 4dr which is the same or very similar to your 98. I just took a look at my front passenger strut and the lower mounting bolt. Seems pretty cut and dry...bolt slides in the hole and out the other side secured with a nut. Cutting the bolt head and the nut off with a cut-off wheel or even with a cutting torch should allow the remaining bolt to be hammered or punched out. I am probably not understanding exactly what is going on with your stubborn bolt. this is my email... Cal@tuff-trails.com You can send me a pic or two if you like and I will take a look at the situation and see if I can help you in some way.
@@tufftrails Thank you sir I'll shoot you a email in the morning the nut is off the bolt itself is seized the strut can move back and forth because the top bolt came out with some convincing.
Ya know, I do not know. This booster didn’t really fit the sidekick. See in 1989 and 1990 models they used a smaller power booster. The booster that I installed was probably from a 92 or later and therefore a bit larger in diameter. A little convincing and I made it work I do not have much experience with the samurai’s. Tony from Hwy 83 will be able to tell you.
@@Might_guy12 It appears to be 9"-1/2" in diameter and no it does not touch the steering shaft. It does touch the inner fender well...alot.
