      Hey Ramiro, These are 31x10.50xR15 on stock wheels. The brand is "Adventuro", though do not where to get them anymore Thanks for your question.

      @tufftrails got a 2" lift and 1" wheel spacers on my 2 door 96 tracker running 15 235 75s stock wheels fenders have been rolled. What wheels on your affiliated web page will be best offset for 31s with the least trimming and best articulation?

    • @tufftrails
      @tufftrails 21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@ramirovargas8964 Hey Ramiro, In this video we use stock wheels with 2" spacers and we are very close to hitting just behind the tire on the very bottom of the fender well. But they do not. I tell you this because not all 31" tires are actually 31" in Diameter...some are usually a bit smaller like 30.5"....some are bigger especially if they have an aggressive tread pattern. I am a 'Budget Guy" and I hate spending money when I do not have to, so I try to use stock wheels when I can, unless I get a killer deal on something else like I did with our Tin-Top. (33's) I did recently order a set of 5 Rough Country Wheels and they have pretty much a center off-set, not too deep and not to shallow positioning, but I put them on my Sidekicks that where lifted at least 5" This video will show you what they look like, but the tires are 32X11:50XR15. th-cam.com/video/PmzNgTWsp4k/w-d-xo.html The wheels are cool and affordable, here is a link so you can check them out. amzn.to/4hmOZo4 Hope that some of this helps. but all of my Trackers and Sidekicks have at least 4" of lift so it is tough for me to fully answer your question. The very worst case is that you may need to modify the bottom 6" of the front fenders just behind your tire, but usually not.

    I'm sorry but putting that big of tire just ruins the perfect design. I understand wanting a little bigger tire over stock...... But this big just makes THIS vehicle worse off-road. I had the sidekick version and it went EVERYWHERE even on bald all seasons street tires. Heck I even had smaller profiles on the front cuz they was free one winter, so if I used 4x4 I had to keep the wheels spinning so it didn't bind up. But the genius of this vehicle was designed. Is it small, lightweight, short wheelbase that allows it to go literally anywhere and not get stuck. With the short wheelbase, you really don’t need a lift or at least not that much of a lift because it’s almost impossible to bottom out on anything anyways. It’s so light that it almost floats on top of mud.

    • @tufftrails
      @tufftrails 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      OK Koskey, you're up. An M60A1 Main Battle Tank weighs @ 60 tons yet only applies 12.1 pounds per square inch on surface it sits on. This is because they weight is distributed across the tank tracks. The concept is the same, I run mainly in the deep sands after dark dark because that is where the Diamond Back Rattle snake prefers to ride out the cold desert nights. So by using a wider tire I can better distribute my 2400 pounds of weight over a larger surface which helps me stay on top of the sands rather than "In" the sands. An example for you is at the 2:39 minute mark (of this video) where you see the Sidekick running through the sand on the big tires, ...you will also notice, if your volume is up, that the camera Sidekick, which is running on skinny 31" tires is fighting through the sand, increasing engine RPM, producing heat in the already hot Arizona Desert, creating additional wear on the engine and consuming more fuel. These are not good things nor is this considered to be efficient. You make a good point Koskey, don't get me wrong, but I don't worry about mud here, I actually pray for rain, and most of my wheeling is in the sands as I do not hang out on the trails where the tourists play. This build is one I just finished, th-cam.com/video/9PJr7RT6GyM/w-d-xo.html it is set up for old desert trails that the gold prospectors carved out a century ago... it has the narrow tires which are better for rocky desert roads. Don't apologize because your views or opinions are different, I encourage the exchange of ideas...diversity is an asset. Thank you for your comment.

    I had a stock 2 door soft top sidekick and even with bald tires I never got stuck. And I would buy the cheapest road tires when I did get new tires. Climbed muddy dirt bike hills, drove up creeks, through feet of snow on road and off road, pulled out my buddy's F350 on 35s many times, jumped it often, was my first car so no real maintenance... Hince I blew the top end after like 5 years. Shifted the 3 speed auto like a manual, red lined every shift, learned how to race/take turns on back roads so good that even friends in vtec civics and neons couldn't keep up. That high out put JDM motor, if it had better gears would be pretty fast.

    I watched alot of your videos and there been a question I've had for a while you seem to favor automatic transmissions in your rigs why is that??

    • @tufftrails
      @tufftrails 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      WOW, super good question...but the answers are complicated. 1. As a younger man I would work at a transmission shop removing and reinstalling transmissions for extra cash so I could keep food on the table for my kids. I learned to hate transmissions... and fighting with the alignment of the splines while bench pressing a transmission really sucks... Automatics are easier to pull and install in my opinion. 2. Having to do with my personal style of "Off-Roading", I'm an old man now, I don't rock crawl, jump canyons or race for pinks. I am a trail rider, I off-road to get away from people, noise, stress and just go out and discover something new or find a new adventure. Solitude is under rated... 3. One hand on the steering wheel, one hand with a CB mic, one hand with a cell phone, one hand with a camera, and one hand with a coffee cup and one hand scratch my nose...not enough hands... There is a downside to automatics, rebuild parts are almost non-existent, however the automatic transmissions in the trackers and sidekick are really good. But ultimately, it's just my personal preference ... Good question

      @tufftrails my tracker was an automatic but along the way it was converted to a 5 speed so the rear axel still has the automatic gear ratio so do you think that will result in overall better gas mileage?

      @tufftrails 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@iamspeed-geo Though I appreciate the question, I am probably not the best source to give you the perfect answer. Ya know, the gearing will have some effect, but the real benefit to fuel economy is driving style. With a 5sp, most folks like to stay in the power band causing them to shift at higher RPM ranges that are more than they need. Shifting at 5000rpm vs shifting at 3500rpm is just more fun and more fun uses more fuel... Tire size will also be a contributing factor.

      @@iamspeed-geo probably not, usually cars are factory optimized for ideal gear ratios for given transmission.

    Compared to the cost to buy and maintain new vehicles. It's always worth the cost and work to restore the older ones.
