"If they cannot coexist as two, they must become one." - this quote and episode 3 preview inspired me to make this arranged marriage daemyra au! Idk how or why, but making manips and trope scenarios for these two is just so much fun haha
I managed to cram enemies-to-lovers, arranged marriage, rivals for the throne, feral jealousy from both sides when they see each other with different people and BABY AEGON in the span of 2 minutes, so I'm definitely patting myself on the back lmao
Short video summary: Daemon and Rhaenyra view each other as rivals for the Iron throne. Viserys I decides to make them marry, so no dispute can start over the succession after he passes (if only he was this smart in the book/show jsjfhhf). They do get married, realize they are attracted to one another and consummate the marriage. But live separate lives because they don't like being forced into their situation aka the marriage. That is until Daemon, as chaotic as he is, informs Rhaenyra that he intends to get married again. She pulls up on a dragon and lays into him. Chaos ensues. When Rhaenyra doesn't bite, he returns to King's Landing only to be told they're having a baby. That changes things for both of them, and they slowly start falling in love. I wanted to leave the ending hopefully since saints know they could use a happy ending.

Right! I thought his chem with Claire Foy will be the peak of everything, but graces daemyra is just PEAK. Young Rhaenyra and Daemon should be creepy af, since the former looked so young, but the chemistry is FIRE! The actors were to be blamed here. The chemistry is honestly too much than what was needed.

I’m sure Emma will surprise us! You can’t really say they won’t have chemistry since we haven’t even seen them interact. I will miss Milly, but when the dance starts Rhaenyra’s in her early thirties and given birth to 6 kids, Milly definitely won’t look the part.

Oh i love this. So good. It tells an interesting au story but so aesthetically pleasing to look at. I watched it first but stumbled a bit as to why would he take a second wife if he loves rhaenyra, but wrote it off as him just being a spoiled attention seeking shit. Impressive that you have so little material to work with and already managed to tell a wholesome story. I see that a lot of work and effort went into this video. I don’t see that happening in the show to be honest. They’re building up their love story with deep care. Also, the book is in the form of accounts from maesters and a jester they were all biased against team Black because the Greens controlled them. At the point when she appears Rhaenyra has lost so much, so i view this rumour as the Greens trying to alienate even her husband by making her believe he cheated. Some accounts say Nettles was his bastard not a lover, so she’s a mystery indeed. I wonder what the show will do with her.
