This hits differently after watching Yeosang's documentary. There aren't enough words to express how proud I am of him.
I'm a new Atiny from November 2024. I had been casually listening to Ateez since 2023, I just didn't think of exploring the group further until recently. However, the moment I did, I immediately got more and more interested in Yeosang cuz he was very relatable to me in lots of ways, some ways more sillier than others.
Learning about how he tried his hardest and succeeded in becoming an idol despite his parents not supporting his dream hit hard for me as I've been dealing with my parents not supporting my switch from psychology to a music program in college. Not only did learning that about Yeosang comforted me and inspired me to work harder, but now finding this cover that he sung made me tear up realizing that I've been through a lot without much of a break. I know it's been 7 months now, but thank you, Yeosang, for covering this song with your beautiful and calming voice. Thank you for never giving up on your dream and debuting as an idol - thank you for being an inspiration and role model for others, including myself🩷🩷

Knowing how hard Yeosang trying to prove to his parents that being an idol is what he wanted and trying to get approval, im so emotional right now. Every cover, every song they do always successful in making me tear up or maybe I am just an emotional person but Kang Yeosang should get more exposure in future comeback. Yeosang will never know how much him releasing this means to me, but for the past few months whenever I'm feeling super down I've been listening to the original BOL4 version of this song. Well today I've been really sad and just generally feeling overwhelmed by life and I come on to youtube to see this cover has just been released. I love how both the covers Yeosang has done have minimal instrumentation because it helps focus on the absolute beauty of his voice, he has an excellent range and he manages to show that in all his songs and my god, his voice is so expressive, even without the lyrics/translations you can feel the emotions being translated so flawlessly like his voice at 3:16 is so soft and tender, it actually hurts how beautiful and painful it sounds at the same time. In short, I just really love Yeosang and his voice

Not to be that person who's obsessed with idol's lives and knows every single detail, but knowing what yeosang went through in his teen years makes this os much special. He wanted to be an ido, but his parents also wanted him to study because being an idol doesn't always work out, so instead he made a compromise, get good grades and then they would let him train.
Yeosang worked hard, day and night, to study, get good grades, while also training hard to be an idol, overexerting himself physically and mentally. I am so proud of how far he's come.
This song is also special to me, as an gifted burnt out kid, i used to cry all night listening to this song when i was 14-15 , I still do, life is hard sometimes and it's not easy being a teen with so much expectations on you. Anything less than a 90 was a failure in my parents' eyes and to this day i struggle with perfectionism and anxiety. Time has healed some of it, but its very painful when i look back at the pictures and my diary entries from that time. Maybe one day I'll be truly fine, i hope so.

I appreciate Yeosang's covers so much because we can finally focus on his beautiful, beautiful singing voice. Like, why does this man not get more lines, he sounds absolutely angelic. His voice sounds like how dark chocolate tastes, if that makes sense..
Yeodoongies (and some atinys too) have been asking this question for a while. The company literally ruined his career because thanks to them now a huge chunk of fans think that he is bad at singing that is why he doesn't get lines. Worst part, a lot of atinys don't even see a problem with the line distribution and the ones that do see don't speak up for him. Also the lies of him himself not wanting lines are spread in this fandom as facts even though he never said so. Instead in 2019, he himself said that he wants more lines in their songs.

His birthday cover from the previous year remains one of my all time favourite covers of all of ATEEZ because his vocals and technique are seriously so impressive. How can some people still have the audacity to question or downplay his vocal ability? It's just beyond me how people still fail to recognize his talent.
He is a great vocalist and would probably be at least lead in a lot of kpop bands, but Ateez just has too much competition for him to shine properly. At least he gets a lot of center time.

Their production team is a failure at line distribution, 6 years & they still haven't figured out how to utilise some members' voices, they keep repeating that same old age formula. It's a shame bcoz Hongjoong who has less experience figured it out, the new producers figure it out, but the producers who has been working for 6 years with them + their own experience hasn't figured it out yet.
Also, he didn't used to get center part as well earlier.

Yeosang's voice is so underrated, his voice is so soft, warm, but also welcoming like autumn, and cozy like winter with a hot coco....Yeosang's voice is so pure and sweet, its a voice you could listen to at night before bed, a voice you could listen to when doing homework, a voice you could listen to while reading your favorite book. Not just his voice but himself as well, Yeosang is someone you want to protect because you have fallen in love with him in a way you can't describe, Yeosang is a person who you could talk with late a night while a cold but cozy rain is falling, Yeosang us someone who you can stay in silence with and there will be no awkwardness.
