i tried making this cake twice (as a beginner) i’ve baked cakes before but this was my first attempt at a layered cake. the first time i tried baking this cake, my cake pan was just way too big so i ended up with a thin, flat cake. i decided to attempt to do the cake with the strawberry filling another time. the second time was today, and this went a lot better than the first. i bought a smaller 7 inch pan. also, since this is a genoise cake, i researched a little bit more in depth on how to make it perfect. this time i made sure to fold my fluffed eggs and dry ingredients using a J-shape so that i didn’t lose any air from my batter. my cake ended up tasting much better and wasn’t thin. however, my second attempt still was a fail, since i put the strawberries too close to the edge, which made it difficult to cover with the filling. i also think my filling was too soft and i needed to freeze it for longer, because once i cut into my cake, all the strawberry and filling oozed out from the filling layer. i also messed up with the chocolate ganache, because i made it too hot and caused the cream to curdle somehow, which ruined my cake. thankfully i removed the ganache and was able to continue topping the cake with strawberries. honestly, i would attempt this cake again with a buttercream filling instead, just to give it more structural integrity and because i didn’t really enjoy the cream + chocolate filling combination. the cake itself without the filling and strawberries was great though!
It's not the setup or how she is whisking and baking it's the real hard work of the girl/boy who is using ingredients so well and representing it so beautifully :)
A very good cake indeed but this type of cakes (genoise) dry if you did one mistake like if you didn't foamed the egg enough or you didn't fold in a gentle way also without adding some of the mix to the butter/milk before adding it back will make the genoise rubbery and you should finish it in 2days at max for the best taste possible cuz of the fresh strawberry and also you should have an electric oven to stable the temperature as much as you can, Use the fan in your oven. You can store the genoise up to 4-5 days.

This is my first attempt and it’s turned out great but before that, I rewatch this video like a hundred times, so I can make sure that I didn't miss anything lol 😆. And if you don't have espresso I think any coffee will do, such as Americano or even instant coffee, and make sure that's there no sugar added. Good luck 👍🏻
I made it .. it was a little not soooo soft I think maybe was the problem from the type of chocolate powder! Maybe , but the vanilla was sooooooOoo soft ! I made both
i tried doing it and like the consistency was like really heavy and DEFINITELY NOT creamy and soft. It was like pastry. Like honestly i thought the cake was like big and a normal size, however, it was like a tiny lunchbox cake. It said to bake it for 35-40 mins and really you need to bake it for only 10 mins because of the tiny size of the cake. Honestly the cake is so small you need to make 3x less cream.
