These flowers are so lovely! And to be only using leftover scraps makes them super beautiful! (I wish I had lace curtain scraps!) You know, Tina, I’ve had trouble using my less favorite bling, too, but when I go back & look at my creations they look so nice! I think it’s maybe like you say about fussy cutting that “no one knows what the flowers looked liked originally”, is also true of the bling & baubles. Your pale purple & ivory look like that’s what you chose, on purpose! Enjoy the variety!

So pretty! The last one is my favorite too, but they’re all very pretty. You’re daughter’s voice sounds so sweet. My daughter is a teenager now and still very sweet but the tiny little voice is long gone. Thank you for the inspiration. 😊
They just grow up so fast don’t they? All stages are lovely though, I love spending time with my boys now they are bigger, but yes it’s super weird as both have proper “man” voices now! Lol x

Going to give these a go right now and will make bag toppers with these beautiful flowers. I didn’t dye the lace. Just using white and light pink I bought at Hobby Lobby. TFS. Just what I needed!!!!

I know it's been such a long time since I made fabric flowers. I am still using the same old glue gun . I have the same kind of camera set up. I noticed yours in the last video and I ordered mine in white and they sent black. I spray painted it ivory and also sprayed my paper holder and moved things around. I think I sent you a photo but now I'm not sure. Much love ❤❤❤
Oh that sounds fantastic, I never would have thought to spray paint my camera holder. Might have to do that. I haven’t seen a picture, maybe you sent it to my old email address, which I am desperately trying to move away from, as it is sooooooooo clogged up with rubbish. No plans for making videos. I was on streamyard lastvweek but my sound kept on muting. I was on Kathies World doing painting with a gelli plate. You can see what I did at the end of the video. I also have been crafting with friends on zoom.the

I am so glad you revisited making the flowers. They are fun and so beautiful. I am so short on them, so I needed to make some. I had to pause the video and then restart it so that I could craft along with you, I pulled out my supplies and I got busy with you. Where do you get your organza? I have a very hard time finding it, unless I buy ribbon, and wide organza ribbon is hard to find locally. When I do find it, it has the wire in it. Love your flowers. I agree that making paper flowers are very hard and “fiddle” to work with. I also like the way the fabric flowers looks more. I just get my organza fabric from any fabric store, it tends to be with the clothes making fabric rather than the home projects heavier type fabrics . Boy those are just lovely! The colors from your lace dying session are gorgeous. I’ve seen listings on Etsy for fabric flowers but, frankly, they are always ugly colors or prints. I’ve not seen any as lovely as yours or I would have bought some. Enjoyed watching this process quite a lot. Take care.

Hi Tina! Thank you for the lovely lace flower tutorial! I would love to make these...right now I don't have a hot glue tool so I will need to hand stitch mine. Might be a little "fiddly", I will just need to be patient and allow some extra time. Super pretty lacy flowers! I love the colors you selected for the dyeing of the lace. What did you use to do the dyeing?

You could use a Brad in the center. Wrong color paint it 😊

Yes you just scuff the top of them with a sanding block, Emery board, sandpaper what ever you have. I used a piece of styrofoam to stick mine in, and it only takes a dab. If when dry, you feel like it needs more paint or adding a different color added do it. Let them completely dry and put some glossy accent on the top to set the paint or a clear coat of paint, anything as long as it's clear and let completely dry. Takes about 3-4 days to cure. But very much worth it. 😊👍

Yes, the organza petals are burned over a candle , this is a useful video th-cam.com/video/BSpwaeeGCDQ/w-d-xo.html . I haven’t ever heard of Mauve Maven, I will look her up. Yes Chrissie Crosser has some beautiful fabric projects, and lots of purple and lilac x

How long will that glue gun last you? It seems to be on the pricier side
Most glue guns here are that same sort of price, it is around £20 which isn’t too bad. X
