Very nice. I just pulled down 2 50" Tvs from my theater room to make it have zero Tvs on the wall, only my projection screen. I was trying to figure out what to do with those Tvs, now I know what to do with one of them. Thank you.

Wow! This app is amazing.
Basically was able to replicate something similar with a rpi and kodi! Hosting is done on the rpi and if a movie is playing on kodi it’s will generate the poster using the kodi json and tmdb, if there is no movie playing it will generate the upcoming movie titles from tmdb upcoming url. It’s all hosted locally with an open port, the html is coded to display now showing/upcoming. Will integrate and test other json available options for the digital poster.

Great video thanks for sharing this.. Just curious do you have to have the PC running all the time if you want to Play it using Plex? Also can this somehow run through a NAS
Yes unfortunately the computer has to always run, now if you have a 2 monitor setup you can run this on one monitor and do something else on the other monitor. But I would suggest using an old computer or laptop as a dedicated machine for this.

I got everything to work now and it is wonderful
I did notice one thing-there is a lag of about 2-3 minutes between what is on my laptop and what is my marquee.
Is there a way I can speed this up through the settings to cut out the lag/delay

Any recommendations for making the app work when media is playing from kodi using addin resources? Movie poster app works but only shows media thumbnail from kodi when playing & time remaining. Thanks in advance

Does this only work when watching a movie from your laptop or is it a way I can have it work when I’m watching physical media like movies I own on either disc or digital download on apps? Thanks
No not automatically, there is a web app where you can change what’s on the screen from your phone.

Not automatically, but you can do it manually.
This video was great help, but why does it seem like im getting the same (maybe 20)posters over and over. Isn't the sight suppose to automatically pull posters?
Yes it does. You can go into the settings to configure which and what type of posters it pulls
Can't get this to work no matter what I do. Is the movieposter app supposed to be installed on the same PC running the Plex Server? It's the only thing I haven't tried. I even tried Kodi but can't get it to work.

No you don't need a Lan cable you can use wifi and No you can't broadcast 3 different videos from one computer .
When I download the updated version of dev build my actual movie poster version is still not updated, any guidance on updating my great Dane cinema version?
I would try deleting it and doing a fresh install.

If you want a specific poster you will have to go into the web remote and set it manually. Otherwise it will just display random posters

That's weird. Try right clicking on the program and then hit "run as administrator "
What chrome extension did you use to cast?
There no extension needed . Just the base chrome browser has casting built in

Orient the video sideways in your video editor if your tv doesn’t give you the option.

Great Video. I do have a quick question that you may know how to answer. I installed the app last week. It downloads movie posters very well. Is there a way to display a single poster occasionally, instead of them rotating all the time? I'd like to have it snowing the poster on the screen for a movie that we plan on watching. You can use any monitor depending on the size you want. The monitor I used is old and probably no longer being sold.
Can this work on a virtual machine or raspberry pi?
Possibly on a virtual machine but not the raspberry pi since the software is only for windows. There is a similar app for the raspberry pi but I haven't tried it.

@@KedrickFoster hey so I searched the movie app once I pressed download it asked how do I want to save it I didn’t see that part on your screen so I proceeded to save as download once I did that I couldn’t open it and it keep asking me to Extract the file I did it but stil won’t open

There should be a way to auto start the program somewhere in Windows settings
