The bwg promo almost had 0 competitive use in a tribal list like you mentioned on the video, like at all, promo BWG could very well just be called its own deck in how it functioned, bt11 really had almost 0 to do with why it becamed used, bt12 though, with the release of bt12 agumon and greymon made it soo kimeramon had a much much easier time being a black source, the deck used gravity crush and coolboys along with blinding ray to push out a nearly 10 card bwg promo stack with kimera, the fact this was ommited in its entirety for BWGs promo section is baffling as thats the real BWG Promo strat that had any competitive relevancy at all.
BT01 Weregarurumon is a thing of beauty. Think about the BWG OTK but with jamming and never tossing its sources. Utilizing the Garu X line from EX05 you drew and searched for your pieces. Grab a few tamers with Joe Kido in name. Stockpile a bunch of 2-4 cost options then go to town. Swing generate memory and play an option to unsuspend. Rinse and repeat until you win. If in the event you couldn’t win that turn play the 10 cost option that suspends your opponent’s board during their turn. It was a deck of all time that won an event in Japan, but didn’t see much if any play here because people might not know that it exists.
Personally, Keenan BT13 is going to be a late bloomer card. We saw already some of it's potential when used in the Galaxy Loop (which used to be possible even without Promo Zubamon but was just less consistent) and it's honestly pretty scary
I think the Digimon Emperor still has a ton of potential, but he hasn't found a format where he actually has a chance to blossom yet. Tbh if the Digimon TCG ever officially implements sideboards I think he's a good contender!
Blinding Ray saw play alot earlier then Gravity Crush, there were quite a few agressive early decks that made effective use of Blinding Ray, so i gave it GC 😅
@@AvidHerpetologist I am trying to make Rasenmon good by using Blinding Ray and healing to trash my own security to go for cheap plays and gain a massive tempo swing then control the game from that point onward. Still in the works though due to lack of support. I want to see a new Rasenmon line that benefits from trashing their sources and security.
@SheruMuko the initial line of Rasenmon support looked really interesting, just a bit half-baked impo. I agree with you though, another line could really help tie it together. Who knows maybe we'll get the anniversary variant that terrorized Rearise for awhile 👀 purple Rasen was op lol

After the release of the new structure deck I'd say Willis has earned himself a spot on the list
I would absolutely agree! Was actually just discussing him with my locals last night :)

Seems very duel logs inspired
I take that as a high compliment 😊 I am indeed a big fan of duel logs, In general i enjoy content of this nature so I decided to give it a try myself!
@AvidHerpetologist I watch him all the time. It's nice to have videos like this when you want to learn more about a game. Have a sub
@quetzypoo i subbed to his Dexlog channel to start learning the Pokemon tcg too! Totally relate haha glad you enjoyed the vid 😊
Howling crusher popped off in ex5 before the limit
Nice vid
Where's the preemptive Digimon Emperor mention??

What about Blinding Ray?

Is crimson blaze considered a late bloomer?
Since some recent decks can swarm by effect
I dont think so personally. Its definately gotten better, no question there! But it was cracked on release 😅
Blossomon wasn’t a late bloomer. It was the late bloomer.
No mimi 💀💀
I would argue that Mimi has always been good
Mimi has been used in every relevant green deck since bt1. She’s one of the most relevant and powerful tamers in the game since it’s foundation.
