The section is 13.6 km long and starts at the junction for Makresh and goes to Bela. It goes on a new route, outside the reach of the I-1 premier road. With the completion of the site, intensive transit traffic will no longer pass through the town of Dimovo and the village of Bela, thereby increasing traffic safety in the region. The new section has the gauge of a two-lane freeway in each direction, with a median dividing strip and benches. The lanes have two summer traffic lanes, an emergency lane, and in certain sections with larger longitudinal slopes, a lane for slow-moving trucks has been built. There will be one between the 36th and 39th km in the road to Vidin and between the 39th and 44th km in the direction of Botevgrad. 2 road junctions have been built in the section - p. village "Makresh" at the 36th km, and p. "Bela" village - at the 46th km. Through them, the connection with the rest of the roads in the region will take place. A number of facilities have been built - a bridge over the Archar River with a length of over 118 m, two viaducts of 205 m and 218 m, road and agricultural underpasses and overpasses, including railways. p. overpass p. the Sofia - Vidin line, culverts, etc. A traffic control center will be built near the "Bela" road junction to manage traffic on the future highway.
The new section was built entirely with funds from the republican budget. The contractor is "Automagistrali" EAD. In 2020, the Road Infrastructure Agency commissioned under Art. 14, para. 1, item 6 of the Law on public procurement of the state company, the additional design and implementation of the construction and installation works on 65.8 km of the road I-1 Vidin - Botevgrad, in the section between the "Makresh" road junction and the bypass road of the city. The value of the construction and installation works on the 13.6 km section is nearly BGN 341.2 million including VAT. The construction supervision was carried out by Consultants Makresh - Bela "DZZD", which includes: "TEK - QUATTRO" AD, "STROL - 1000" AD. The contracts with them are for BGN 1,674,840.00 including VAT and BGN 35,998.80 including VAT.
The preparation and work of the remaining sections is at various stages. The second section - from the village of Bela to the village of Ruzhintsi, is 11.1 km long. The construction and installation works performed on it are close to 31%. The section will have the gauge of the highway, like the first section - with two lanes for traffic in the direction with a median dividing strip and benches. The traffic lanes have two traffic lanes, an emergency lane. An overpass will be built over the g. p. the Vidin - Sofia line, bridges over the Barata and Skomlya rivers, agricultural underpasses. At the 50th km on both sides of the road there will be a recreation area with toilets, parking lots, lighting and a treatment facility.
