My heart is still hurting but pain ends. I remember a saying that I got told by a friend. THIS TOO SHALL PASS. I really hold on to that at the moment!

Mir tut es sooo leid für alle die dieses Jahr das Auslandsjahr abrechen mussten. Ich habe vor dieses Jahr ein Auslandsjahr zu machen und hoffe dass ich mein Traum verwirklichen kann und nichts im Weg steht. Ich mach auch TH-cam und es würde mich sehr freuen wenn du mal vorbeischaust❤️🥰🥰
Ich mache dieses Jahr auch ein Aj aber wir können ja zur Not einfach nach hinten verschieben und gehen später und müssen nucht abbrechen...

Du bist eine unglaublich inspirierende Persönlichkeit, wow! Ich habe dein Abenteuer von Anfang an mitverfolgt und fand dich immer sooo sympathisch. Eben weil ich mich extrem gut mit dir identifizieren kann. Du bist endlich mal eine Austauschschülerin, die nicht irgendwo in Kalifornien, Florida oder Alabama mit ihrer perfekten riesigen Hostfamily, 10 Hunden und drei Pferden den absoluten (unrealistischen!) Traum lebt. Das fand ich von Anfang an sehr überraschend und interessant. Du hast immer auch die negativen Aspekte eines Auslandsjahres aufgezeigt und mir als einer zukünftigen ATS in Vancouver, Kanada mit zwei älteren Gasteltern und keinen Gastgeschwistern immer das Gefühl gegeben, dass man es selbst in der Hand hat, das 'beste Jahr seines Lebens' zu erleben.
Man muss eben nicht direkt am Strand oder in LA leben.
Ich wollte dir hiermit einfach mal für deine realistischen und trotzdem wunderschöne und inspirierenden Videos hier danken. Wegen dir komnte ich mich das ganze letzte Jahr auf mein Auslandsjahr freuen!
Leider wird der Virus auch meinen Traum zerstören und zwar komplett und schonungslos. Ich sollte eigentlich im August für 10 Monate nach Kanada fliegen, daraus wird ganz offensichtlich nichts mehr. Ich kann nicht in Worte fassen wie unglaublich furchtbar diese Situation für mich und viele andere ATS ist. Mir wurde alles genommem, noch bevor es starten konnte. Eine Möglichkeit zum Nachholen gibt es für mich nicht. Mein größter Traum ist geplatzt und das für immer.
Ich möchte dir damit nur sagen: du bist nicht allein!
Hab geweint, weil das Video einfach so schön ist und weil ich 2020/21 auch ein Auslandsjahr machen werde. Ich möchte das auch alles erleben und über mich hinauswachsen, aber ich habe so Angst,dass das alles nicht klappen wird, wegen des Virus!

Feli St. also unsere Organisation ist recht positiv und die denken schon, dass wir fliegen können. Außerdem wird es wahrscheinlich im Juli spätestens schon Flüge in die USA geben ☺️

Ich habe mein Abflugdatum immer mit meinem Todestag (des brasilianischen Lebens) verglichen... sounds exaggerated - I know, aber es war, weil ich an diesem Datum ja mein Leben dort beenden musste. Ich kam nie darauf klar, dass ich Monate vorher schon diesen Todestag kannte, ich wollte ihn garnicht wissen. Jetzt wird mir erst klar, dass es vielleicht echt besser ist, das genaue Datum zu wissen...
Das, was du erlebt hast kann man nämlich gut mit einer kranken Person vergleichen, die weiß, dass jeder Moment der letzte sein könnte.😭

I loved your video so much and I was also an exchange student in California until last March. Luckily I had a more week to stay there before I leave so I could say good bye to some of my friends and teachers. I was also crying all day with my host sister (who is my best friend in the world)and couldn’t accept the decision that my organization made for us. I still miss a lot of things in the states and sometimes feel so sad. I really hope you and I will be able to come back to our HOME as soon as the situation gets better! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing memories:D
Deine Worte sind zwar traurig, aber trotzdem schön. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass mich so ''einfache'' Worte berühren werden. Bei diesem Video hatte ich Tränen in den Augen. Ich musste das Ganze zwar nicht machen, kann aber glaube ich trotzdem verstehen, wie du dich gefühlt hast.
Ich habe mein Aj noch vor mir und denke jetzt schon daran, wie schwer es sein wird, sich von der Gastfamilie und all meinen Freunden zu verabschieden... obwohl ich erst nächstes Jahr in die USA gehe und noch nicht mal eine Gastfamilie habe.
Von meiner Familie hier in Deutschland verabschiede ich mich für 10 Monate und weiß ganz sicher, dass ich sie nach dieser Zeit wieder sehen werde. Doch von meiner Gastfamilie verabschiede ich mich für einen unbestimmten Zeitraum. Ich weiß nicht wann ich sie wieder sehen werde. Es können Monate, aber auch Jahre sein.

Well for me and for all the other exchange students it is quite dramatic and I explained enough why :)
