This is why you're my favourite Snooker youtuber, you walk this wonderful line which shows just how talented you are compared to the average person/player, while also being humble and being able to show just how difficult a game this is and go to show just how good the pros are

I do enjoy your recreation videos. I used to play, mostly pool though. I'm in my sixties and my eyesight is getting worse by the year. It's mostly the astigmatism that gives me the most difficulty. I would need glasses like Dennis Taylor to be able to sight properly along my cue.
Anyway, I am intrigued by you having to throw your body into those Judd Trump type shots. When I look at him, and the other pros, they dont seem to being moving their body like you are. Which makes me wonder if he is using some other technique to generate his cue power. You probably already know this but I found that I generate more spin by really following through with my cue. I had a bad habit of jabbing the cue ball and I had to be mindful of finishing my stroke well past the cue ball's position. The other thing which came to my mind was the speed of the stroke. You see, I play the drums and I've learned the best way to generate power in a drum stroke is to use velocity. Start with drumstick pointed straight up and instead of muscling the stroke just bring it down with speed. The greater the velocity, the louder the note played. So I wonder if that's how Judd, and other pros like him, are able to generate such cue power, using velocity in their stroke. I know it seems like that in order to get that velocity, one has to use a lot of muscle power, hit the cue ball hard. But there is a way to generate speed with using might. It involves having the muscles very relaxed. In drumming, one needs to hold the sticks in a very relaxed grip, more like cradling the sticks than holding onto them. So I guess if I were to try this with my cue stroke, I would focus on having a relaxed grip on my cue. That way I would naturally relax all the muscles in my arm. And then I would try to hit the cue ball as fast as I can, without any tension (or with as little s possible).
I remember seeing a clip of Bruce Lee talking about this kind of thing in order to do those incredibly fast punches he would do. In physics, velocity is more important than weight in generating force.
I don't know if this helps you any. Maybe you are already doing this. It's just every time I see you throw your weight into a shot, it makes wonder whether there is a better way for you to accomplish the effect you want. I'd be very curious if this is something you've already considered.
    Thanks, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

It makes them less damp mostly. There’s always a bit of moisture, my table is heated but I’d have to get a faster cloth to get it quicker

I really appreciate your content mate. It's making me go from only playing pool to giving snooker a good go at the club. I'm more or less a complete beginner with snooker; it's a completely different kettle of fish. I'd say you gave yourself too little credit on the Mark Selby shot - your recreation was at least worth a 7 there.

Always love your videos i would like to ask if the table you're using is a heated table or not because believe me i recently played on a heated table and the difference in cue action is honestly day and night.
Long pots which would usually become stun shots were actually screwing back with the same amount of power on the heated table rather than normal.
I would also suggest using a cue with a smaller tip for better cue action you might lose some consistency at first but trust me the cue action you will have is otherworldly. My suggestion would be to use a 9 mm or 9.5 cause I've noticed your cue tip is slightly on the bigger side.

I think you would benefit from a new cloth on recreating these shots ,not just speed but grip ,no disrespect but your cloth is pretty much done now .Having used 6811 for years on my table I had a Hainsworth match fitted in April with Hainsworth smart on the cushions for durability ,the difference is night and day and you probably won’t need heaters under the table either ,you won’t quite get the durability out of the match than you will With the 6811 ,but you can’t have speed and durability .Just a thought .

    Your cue power(speed) sucks,,
You should leave your right hand on your chest as long as you can,,
Never put your weight on the cue,,
    Never wring your wrists,,
If you want to improve your cue speed, you have to hit the cue ball exactly 6 o'clock with speed, don't cut it off your stroke, and you need to practice repeatedly.
    _From your Snooker Master
