Awesome! Just visited Iceland in September, but I spent all the non-horribly-windy days on a (breathtakingly beautiful) mountain trail :) Local pilot community seemed really cool, would've gotten to fly, too, had the weather cooperated. Great that you had better luck!
You Flying Cowboys live a life of Adventure! Every Single Day! Very cool! Did you by chance get to see any Northern Lights while you were there? That's on my bucket list too, we don't get them down here in So California. Or if we do, it's very, very very rare to get a solar storm that severe as to bring them this far south.
Not a place one thinks about much but I was stationed there 83-85 when it was a Naval air station, intercepter squadron was still flying F4's back then...Lol. great people, Hope you had a good time.
So I’m sitting here laughing about you guys going all the way to Reykjavik just to look at RC planes and eat hot dogs and then, oooooh, Wilga! That was a very cool RC plane. 😎
hey guys if you end up going to europe as well can you look up flyecho smart diesel any info would be fantastic enjoy the trip glenn and brooke (3 cylinder diesel for aircraft use )
Iceland! Achingly beautiful! I hope you bring back a ton of footage to share. (Yep, if you are a poor tourist, you live on hot dogs in Iceland. On the upside, they are good enough that you actually CAN live on them.)
Guess I missed the Story Board ... Iceland for.... ah... Concert ?,... R.C. planes..... Fireworks..... a wee bit confused on this end... LOVED the video though.
Certainly ! .. Thats what I thought !,.. and from what I've seen on TH-cam and those I have met and talked with at Oshkosh '18, they are a great group of friends. Thanks for your Videos... if were younger I fly my butt off , get more hours in and beg for a small spot in the group. (lol).
Great video Jason! Thanks for sharing! What a beautiful place. So were you and Mark on the sticks in formation? Or the other pilots? The Bipe you were in...Gypsy Moth? Dang...now I'm hungry for a Hot dog...
Wha? That it? Where's the rest??? Can't wait for the next instalment. I've wanted to visit Iceland for a while, you've just managed to bumped it up my bucket list for sure :)
What kind of a camera are you using these days? I'm still dealing with some "jello" vibration issues and your videos are always nice and clear, so would appreciate learning more about your setup. Any advice about frame rate would be appreciated too. Thanks man! As always, love the videos. They always make me want to fly my Cub!
Just sold my Cirrus SR22 after 10 years---want to do more fun flying not just point A to B. Looking at the CC FX3 --what do you think of it? Will get the glass and autopilot for the cross countries to Key West and other great spots down here in S Florida. Are you really happy with the plane and it's quality?
No plane is perfect, mine has some fuel air mixture issues but other than that I am happy. Every plane fits a specific mission, for me the FX-3 would not work, it is quite a bit heavier than my plane. Depending on what you want to do, and FX-3 may be better...
Hey guys this is my favorite pastime I love RC airplanes I watch a lot of them if you're a really want to see a fast plane check out the galloping ghost RC that's one awesome airplane as fast
This video confused me. First the airplanes where weirdly big and didnt have bush wheels, and then they where strangely small and didnt have pilots. Iceland is a strange place is my conclusion from this video.
Thanks for taking us a long, all you guys are great!

Sweet, my wife was there for 6 weeks last year for an artist residency photo award thingy.
That place looks amazing

4:15 tail numbers on the two formation birds cracked me up!

Cool trip...
Always wanted to go to Iceland. And rent a plane to see the sights if I could.
The tail numbers of the Tiger Moth and the Cub... one is old an the other us used XD
Hi Jason,
Love your vlogs. Thanks !
Is your plane in LSA category ?
It’s experimental amateur Bill, but it does fit the light sport rules.. checkout the carbon cub ss if you want lightsport.
Thank you for the info Jason 👍
Mike Patey looked just like Andrew Zimmern from Bizarre foods. I'm thinking there's a triplet. 😂
It was mark... haha
Guess I missed the Story Board ... Iceland for.... ah... Concert ?,... R.C. planes..... Fireworks..... a wee bit confused on this end... LOVED the video though.
To fly and hangout with awesome aviation people.

Hey Jason,
You should do something on your learning to fly paramotors.
Yes it is coming...
Great video Jason! Thanks for sharing! What a beautiful place. So were you and Mark on the sticks in formation? Or the other pilots? The Bipe you were in...Gypsy Moth? Dang...now I'm hungry for a Hot dog...

Nice one. Good to see you getting out and about, but why are you there?! All to be revealed right...
To fly and meet new friends!!! It was so fun... unfortunately I did not do a good job bringing the camera with me..

I have seen it... So awesome

Is that like the national food of Iceland?
Picked puffins? :)
Most important thing to remember: You don't put ketchup on a hot dog. Damn right!
How about an RC Draco :)
Wait, hot dogs aren’t really all American?!
