That's not PU. That's EVA material. Which is very soft, responsive and lighter than rubber.
It's not cost cutting, infact EVA is costlier than rubber.
Don't pass wrong information bro.
Now even Big Brands have started giving EVA in their basic models because of brands like Asian.
Earlier they only used to give EVA soles in their costly models.

I understand but still i think rubber sole is far better than EVA in my opinion. EVA isn't durable as per my experience for 5 years now. :) Baaki, sbki apni apni iccha 🙃

But Rubber is only good for outersole, entire hard rubber sole can increase the weight of the shoes, plus will reduce the shock absorption, bouncyness and ultimately will injure the runners.

@@proudindian9140 phylon material means it's a combination of EVA and hard rubber. If you want to run on road, outer sole is required, otherwise EVA sole would not last a month.
But if you're running on ground or you're in some kind of competition you can skip outer hard sole to make your feet superlight. But I'll always recommend phylon sole to you.
