The outro does not go over a summary of why you dont recommend sopako mres, your description should not have to pick up the lack of in video explanation ofcourse through out the entire video the viewer will understand because they lack taste, but next time you should explain this in the video at the very end if youre gonna record an outro anyway might aswell do a brief rundown of why you give it a big NO.
I don't think you were too negative in this review as you mentioned. You were just being honest, and I appreciate that. I have seen these for sale and been tempted by the low price. You did a great job of demonstrating why they should be avoided.
Fun fact: the FRHs in US MREs are specifically designed to only heat the meal up to 105 degrees F, and reach a maximum temperature of 140^F. So careless soldiers don't burn themselves. I love how the US trusts soldiers with guns and explosives but act like overprotective parents when it comes to food prep. For this reason, the US FRHs have gotten a bad reputation because they could very easily be made to heat up SO MUCH faster and hotter. Other countries' FRHs do and it shocked me how fast and hot they get. A common trick is to put a bunch of salt in the FRH. This causes it to heat up hotter and faster but it burns out quicker too. If you really want a very hot meal, or have a older and degraded FRH, I recommend putting about half the included salt pack in the FRH. Also, I find that less water is better and filling to the very bottom of the fill line of the FRH works the best.
lol i would eat dog/cat food before feeding pets human food - they're a lot more sensitive to spices and macros. don't feed pets food made for people, but we're pretty adaptable in comparison, especially with vitamin (often in the beverages) supplements... 'so petco' is definitely funny though
I have boxes of these in my closet. When hurricane Ian hit they were handing them out for free. I also have quite a few boxes of Apac mres and some other brand. I was bored one day and decided to try each one and they're not bad in my opinion. It beats having nothing to eat if anything ever happens.
saw there latest ad on facebook the other day. you are paying the full price of a mre. an not getting any of the accessary items you usually find in a mre. a stripped down item.
Besides these, which MRE cases do you guys reccomend? I bought a case cause it was alot cheaper than some of the others I found and also comes with 14 instead of 12.
@@Abluemoon9112 If youre starving to death and have no food, I really doubt youll let your religious or personally held beliefs about veganism stop you from eating
@@Alolan.Vulpix.Getting.Railed and your point is what? It takes very little effort for the USA to make this accommodating to all dietary needs and religious needs.
My point is, if you believe so much in religious law and veganism and your mre contains food that goes against it, you can starve to death since you want to be picky@@Abluemoon9112
I'm a wierdo that loved mre's as a kid and loved them in the army. (Unless they were left in over 110+ weather over a year or several) but, it just kinda made them taste jank. This one you're showing is better then my humanitarian ones I got recently. I'm totally going to get a case so I have 3 weeks worth but spare to hand out to people that pretend they like me. "yo it's all I got". subscribe!
These are, IMO, the worst MRE’s that I ever tried. Hands down. I wouldn’t take these for free. Even in an emergency situation these would actually reduce moral. Just awful.

I was considering buying some of these, think you just saved me some money
Oh yeah the sopako reduced sodium are pretty well known for being bland at best.
I bought them cause of price and they were pretty bad. Might make a good trade item when SHTF though. Better than having nothing to eat.

Yes they gave us a case of these and a case of regular military mres during hurricane Florence these are terrible
Honestly i would take these over the US humanitarian MREs
yikes! are they that bad? grabbed a few cases and was thinking of more over the sopakco. guess i'd better shop around harder.
@gordtron there not terrible. Just boring and no heaters
@@speedyz28 good to know. gonna eat a case and see what i can do. thinking to buy extra entree packs, spices, and make add pemmican.
I would not.
These “low sodium” ones have absolutely zero flavor. Easily the worst military type ration I’ve ever had.
@@speedyz28no heaters ? He just showed these packed with heaters
The automatic subtitles say instead of Sopakco, "So, Petco". Probably contains everything man's best friend needs.

That vegetable lasagna wasnt right at all.they are usually filled with noodles
Our boy is speed running these meals today.
Just got off work you made my morning thanks haha. That pop tart lol

Hot sauce is your friend with these
The Lasagna you got was a badly underfilled pack. Mine were loaded with noodles

Real military cases will always be my favorite but as far as the civilian stuff goes the APack meals are better than these imo.
How do you think the Lasagna dumped over the Chile Mac would taste??
Add some salt and it would work out lol
Reduced Sodium MRE and the Humanitarian MREs have got to be the worst MREs, but they tend to be cheap so you get what you pay for.
I prefer the Humanitarian Daily Rations. I have lots of FRHs because I usually boil the mains. Just add beverages. Blessings🙏🏼👍🏼
The HDRs are all Vegetarian with no meat, right?

After hurricane ida i got 12 boxes for free i have 6 of these kind and 5 of the military ones and one of the orange bag boxes.
I bought 2 cases (it was buy on get one free) a couple years ago, for $40.
I bought them as emergency foods to store away and hopefully never open.
I bought 2 cases of these a few years ago they are trash, I have been warning people since then. IF you are lucky the heaters work, NONE of mine did

Awesome review RR
I bought a box of these once you’re right, they’re not good and they all taste the same.

Ehhhh hahaha, a great video for a lackluster (imo) ration. Thanks buddy!
I'd have to buy the reduced sodium meals because I had a stroke back in March due to high BP and I don't want another one😔😔😔
Missed the premiere. Like #23. I have several cases in long term storage. Paid $45 per case. Blessings 🙏🏼👍🏼

I got them for camping and hiking. And hate it.
I dont get it, u called spaghetti for spaghetti noodles, noodles is like in a ramen, spaghetti is spaghetti.
I mean ramen is ramen in the same way 🤷
Hey READY be carful with some of these MRE's. 😆
I bought these as well a full case same exact menu’s won’t be buying again
My coworker offloaded 3 cases of these on me. oh joy
If they suck you have to tell us. It’s a review.
Great review but the lasagna looked like human error I think you got the bottom of the pot
I bought a box of reduced sodium. I didnt like them.
Doesnt look right 😅 but love ya commitment to the job lmao😂😂 just gotta man up and give it another go
It all looks like chef boyardee went MRE.
NO COFFEE!
