    I truly respect people who keep their car unrestored. It gives you that feeling of the good old days and its kinda cool to own a car that has remained the same for such a long time. QOTD, maths was my favorite subject mostly because I was good at it

      Asad Kala Yes, I feel exactly the same, except about maths. :/

    Keep up the good work and the geography is also a cool. Knowing that the car's owner traveled a good distance or you went out of your way makes things all the more special.

    I've always liked original, un-restored, survivors as well. This is a sweet looking Corona. My favourite subject in school was reading and writing. :)

    Good video Dan, that's a nice car, shame about the damage on the back.
    QOTD- Rural science (gardening) that was my fave subject because it got us out of the classroom :)
    Keep up the good work Dan :)

      funbus For sure, out of the classroom was always an improvement. Probably why I liked manual arts. No desk in front of me.

    that rear looks so much diffetent to my old grandfather's 1973 sedan version, the single carburatour engine was the 6R, it had 7 lives like a cat, it was indestructable!!
    question of the day: it had to be computer class. the techer was really cool and i really enjoyed the use of several stuff 2013: one of my best years in my life.

    • @wasabicars
      @wasabicars  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      taunusv4power Yes, the rear on the 2-door looks really odd compared to the 4-door. Oh, computers. Me to. :)

      @ayansaeed9445 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 2 door hitch back and the 4 door sedan are same from front but they completely different from back. I guess your grandfather had a 4 door sedan..

    man that is one beauty!
    question of the day probably the shop classes I liked metal working never got to do wood working but I think I actually liked my Japanese classes the most though the teacher and the language and culture made it great. everything else made school rather annoying/miserable and is probably why i decided against continuing college other then sitting through a bunch of classes i didn't care about and failing because of that. it just became obvious that a degree wouldn't work due to American standards non-sense in my opinion. still not happy about that. other then gym,which I took weight training and was actually serious about getting muscle and staying/getting into shape i didn't like school honestly.

  • @banpeinet
    @banpeinet 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very nice corona. The shape reminds me of the Carina ta17 a bit. But they are probably built in the same era.
    Qotd: chemistry and science! Blowing up stuff and doing all sorts of experiments!

    That chrome block on the rear end is a side marker in the U.S. market. or at least it's a side marker on my '73.

    QOTD: I guess when I actually payed attention in secondary school (I'm from Ireland so the system is a little different), my favourite subject had to have been chemistry, mainly because the teacher was hot (oops shouldn't have said that LOL) but the subject itself was rather interesting as well, especially blowing stuff up

    • @wasabicars
      @wasabicars  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ethabix 115 You can say hot... assuming you've got pictures to back up your claims. Without peer review, it ain't science. ;-)

    No smog needed damn American rules

    • @wasabicars
      @wasabicars  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sure by mid/late 70's that stuff was required in Japan. What about those big US bumpers. Ouch

    • @dsmmonster
      @dsmmonster 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      WasabiCars yes the big ugly big bumpers after 1976 they start using them.. I have a kp61 and ra29 and the have those ugly bumpers and the Japanese spec bumpers are extremely expensive here... and for smog regulations usually after 25 years old you don’t need emissions test any more.. but the exception it’s California it’s very very hard her the car has to be 1975 or older to be exempt for emissions if not it’s super hard to pass legally lol... hopefully you can come to Los angels the classic Japanese car culture it’s very strong here...
