    Msimang is like the battered spouse who is constantly cheated on and the abuser crawls back saying he won't beat her again - and the abused spouse believes him. We all know how this ends.

    its surprising how out of touch he is - doesn't he know the ANC is the means by which ANC members can access state funds? why would anyone step aside for that when they can feast on government budgets?

    The anc is irreparable and they won’t take him seriously. He is part of the rot. For him to come back , I lost all respect for him. There are no factions in the anc. Hopefully they will go the route of Nerhu Indian National Congress and lose power. That is the only way for the anc to reform.

    I have no faith in anyone in the anc. No one can tell me they didn’t try to stop corruption. I lost complete faith in the anc too. To think in 1993 I wanted to join the anc youth league but left when the party didn’t align with my values. I was not going to damage street lights and any
    Government building.

    Mr Msimang is the kind of leader that the ANC desperately needs, has incredible integrity, very sincere and lots of moral stamina and I'm sure there are other similar individuals within the ANC but unfortunately things have gone so wrong for such a long time that the ANC is longer known for having such leaders of integrity, it has attracted lots of shady characters within its ranks which will make this fight for renewal a very difficult and time/energy consuming process, and the corrupt forces will also put up a strong fight to resist this renewal effort.
    It is definitely a good and worthy fight but I think it will take several years to achieve and for the ANC to start regaining public trust. For now the ANC will probably be doing all this work while sitting on the opposition benches. In any case, all the best to you Mr. Msimang/Veterans, even if you don't achieve this next year, your work will not be in vain, any person that attempts to do good becomes richer in the soul and mind!

      Being corrupt or stupid does not appear to matter to the South African voter. Take Jacob Zuma: a known crook, who did not attend high school - democratically elected twice!

    • @oodlesofnoodles4660
      @oodlesofnoodles4660 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mundusuys8739 To be fair, Zuma was not democratically elected because the nation does not vote directly for the President. The ANC was elected. Zuma was _selected._ The only reason such a crook was put into the top seat is completely the ANC's fault.

    If the ANC wishes to be taken seriously then they must act now. Why wait for the elections and why focus on the candidate list? Lastly, Ramaphosa should also be removed from the leadership position on the issue of Phala Phala, we shall never forget what really happened there.

    Remove all with criminal records from the list, so far so good. So what abt the things not being said? Like what abt the step aside rule applicable on ie just the Zondo recommendarions? What will be left of the party if the anc constitution + its policies get applied without fear or favour?

    Now a days people have more knowledge about politics. It is very difficult to spread misinformation because the people know the difference between the truth and lies. Mavuso Msimang can not compare himself to President Zuma. The response of the people of South Africa to his MK party has left the ANC realising the prospect of losing the elections

    An old English adage says, only a fool cannot change his mind. I think it befits well in a normal situation, but this one leaves much to be desired. Especially if i take to cognizance two issues he had highlighted and can't divulge publicly everything they discussed with the ANC SG, 1, Mbalula apologized, we get it from him not from Mbalula, 2 that he can't expose those that implicated in corruption publicly. When you think quite diligently his reason for resignation, u'll condlude by saying, actually he was complaining to be included. Now he is happy for they've strike a deal. MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.

    I think the point is that just like Zuma is not keen to see his day in court, the other ANC people implicated in corrupt activity are also not keen to see their day in court, defending their actions. There is a chance that there house of cards will just collapse if accountability is allowed to take it's course. Just too many beneficiaries of the corrupt activities. It's inevitable that the house of cards will ultimately come down
