Rich, Blake, everyone involved at this clinic and the video/sound production, thank you so much!! Going on a trip this weekend where I’ll hopefully have some time to work on my balance and follow along some of your other videos as well!
Excellent instruction delivered in a very understandable way. One bit of advice to give those planning to attend a clinic: prepare your legs by doing sets of light weight squats so they don't burn out too quickly since you're doing so much lower body work - balance, weight control, positioning, etc. Trials training really helps any rider - even my 1986 Honda TLR 200 is a worthy test rig.
Thanks so much for uploading these for us to follow along with. I've been putting a lot of effort injto drills for around 2 months now and I can balance on most terrain, do full lock turns either way and I've gone from barely being able to lift the front wheel at a standstill to being able to do a 180 pivot about 1/3 of the time. I'm also way faster, smoother and more comfortable when riding in single track or gnarly terrain.
You would have made a champion 👌🏽 trials rider Rich...I know you dabble but have you ever thought of doing more than that? Much love from Derbyshire, UK (trials central!)
Last week I Was out doing drills learned in your Colorado clinic last summer-2 guys on bikes asked.. I said “I took a Rich Larsen 511 clinic…” “oh DUDE! No way! You know Rich Larsen?!” 😃
You teach people not only world class riding skills, but also are a great role model. Class act brotha.
That’s awesome of you to say! Thank you for the support!
Balance, body position, power delivery and collection!
Live it, breath it, practice it!
Thanks Rich!

Rich, showing real pedagogy. Period
I find it difficult to sit in my cubicle at times but I think I could probably get my bike in here and practice balancing while I work…🤔

Great progress! I am still working on pivot turns. Got a long way to go.
Sry to ask. What wrist support do you use? Can you link it?
Rich so humble over there Looking like a rock star 🔫👊🔥💨
🙌🙌
TNX Rich you legend
Aren’t the 3 pillars more like the 3 pillars of bike control? There are still elements like line selection that play a huge role in riding and racing.
Yeah for sure. 👍. Although you can’t select a line if you can’t control your bike!

Thanks so much man! That means a lot! Love to dabble on the trials bike!

Who knew you taught Kinesiology?
Haha related to riding 😂
People still don't know there are zero proprioceptors on bum. Ankles, knees and of course internal ears. Otherwise they will stand on pegs all time ;)
