I'm from lubbock and love to see people still care and admire our hometown hero. I always see Lubbock as sacred. We once held the king of rock and the music master. Not a day goes by that I dont cherish what the crickets have done for rock n roll and the growth of lubbock in general
I’m with you Augustine. I’m from Odessa where Roy Orbison lived fir a while. I got to meet Roy in 58 or 59. I was a kid. We were migrant workers and lived in Cooper for a bi,t during cotton picking season in in 57, One day we went to Lubbock and someone yelled out “there’s Buddy Holly.” I turned to look and all I saw was Buddy grtting into a car. I play guitar and still marvel
I'm British a friend - a fellow guitar player went to the US, hired a car and drove to Lubbock. He actually got to jam with a guy who had played with Buddy Holly. I will be green FOREVER about that.
Nice tribute to Buddy Holly . He got more mileage out of A, D and E than just about anyone. I often wonder what direction(s) his music would have gone in, and what he would be doing today, had his life not been cut so short. Thanks for this.
Great job! I enjoy watching you play all these songs and am amazed at how many songs you can play. When you play all these songs do you have them all memorized or do you use any kind of sheet music or written notes that you are looking at while you play?
ahhh something is distracting me from the music... I cant quite figure it out.. the hockey jersey? NO! The hanging bass? NO!!! The dialogue? NO! Oh Lord how will I sleep tonight? Wait.. YES... THE BLACK FALCON!!!
