That part is currently out of stock. But it is actually the laser lens component that is used in the slim models. I bought a second had psone without cables for 15 euro's and now i have a superb working PS1 Phat model. I bought 2 cheap laser lenses that came with an extention ribbon cable, but those still gaving me problems reading discs properly.
I've seen people replace the grey lid thing for the black lid on those really old 1st model ps1 because it's necessary but on the newer models it isn't. I left my grey cover on to remind me that the previous laser was crap (from a scph-7001)
How did the ribbon cable come off so easily for you? For me it is in there super tight and I am worried if I pull hard I'm going to damage the console.
total console? how are they different than the chinese ones? i figure theyre probably scalpers jacking the price up. is there a noticeable difference in quality?
@@califaern3sto well as new as they can be. theyre still over 20 years old and dont escape the passage of time. components dont last forever. still not paying 90 for one when i can spend an extra 10 and get an xstation

The laser from the last grey ps1 (scph-900x) and grey ps1 slim are the most reliable lasers

Where did you purchase this ps1 lens?
Do you have a link for the laser component? Both of my dads playstations broke and im trying to fix them :)
Erm it’s actually rare a laser breaks it’s usually just dust build up under the lense you can fix with compressed air.
Where can I get laser for my PS1 slim plus I love tekken 3

I recall it giving me trouble when I first removed it, my method was to slowly work each side until it wiggled out
@@TheRealKJ3 I see, thanks
Wiggle it out from the sides

Because they aquired a huge lot of brand new Sony brand ps1 laser drives they just don't have the rubber feet or power cord on them
