Sad how not just the Deschutes but many other great fishing waters in Oregon have become just a memory...

Shame on PG&E. I can't fathom how this has been allowed to continue.

Man is his own worst enemy and will destroy his own environment and kill everything in its path for financial gain and power...God must of been drunk when he created the human virus.

    What a mess!
Google the Hartbeespoort Dam in South Africa to show what will happen if the nutrient issue is not controlled or resolved!

Filter those nutrients into a farming operation to grow food, and the distribute as clean water.

Temperature would still be an issue even if you did that.

Wild small mouth bass have replaced hatchery trout and hatchery salmon. Sounds like an improvement.

They aren't wild...they've been illegally planted by bass fishermen. Hatchery Salmon & trout, much maligned by people with agenda's and no clue, still have wild fish DNA in them and are absolutely fine to restart Salmon and cutthroat runs.

Wrong, there are a lot of wild trout, steelhead and salmon migrating up the lower Deschutes. I have caught big red side wild rainbows around Mack's Canyon for years in the 80's and 90's.

What a tragedy Oregon can lead by forcing cities to have solar panels on there roof.
