Tamil nadu state . Ooty is famous for its mountains. Known as queen of hills. Ooty is also famous for shooting films . Mostly 90s famous bollywood films. Honeymoon location and various beauty ooty has. Famous tourist spots are within heart of the city . View points , waterfalls, boat clubs, gardens, parks, heritage, etc .. and for shopping you may get eucalyptus oils, homade chocolates, rusks, fruits, woolen garments, .. lots more . People here live are mostly tribal. Please visit our land and refresh your soul.

Travelling by road gives you two choices upon reaching mettupalayam. One can choose the connoor route which is the shortest or the kotagiri route which offers breathtaking views all the way. However there is a third route to Ooty via Manjoor which you can say as the least travelled road.

DISTANCE BETWEEN BENGALURU - OOTY IS 300KMS. KSRTC ordinary sarige buses costs around 300₹, and AC AIRAVATA costs around 750₹ one side. i e, from mysore road satellite bus stand (Bengaluru) to ooty. it takes almost 8-9hrs in ordinary sarige bus, and 6-7hrs in AC bus. more buses available from mysore than bangalore.even tamilnadu buses available from mysore.

Unfortunate that people feel that they can get looted with over price, if you are not careful. This is not right. As long as you end up with locals, you will get the best hospitality. Looking at the increase in tourism, few private companies are trying to gain best out of you. My recommendation would be connect with locals even for a cab, rather than trying to get things booked online where people are trying to make money. My personal experience, I have been to this place more than 10 times with my family and all I get to here from the locals is they respect the people who visit as their livelihood is based on tourism.
