Mine is a 2014 Twizy, 2016+ onwards are still mapable, but not so easily and are not reversable.

Hello, I am thinking to buy a Twizy but some people tell me that the update does not work on 2018 models. Does the Powerbox V2 works on a 2018 model? who can install this? how much does it cost and does it have worldwide shipping? Thankyou
It is doest not work directly with the 2018 model of Twizy, you need to swap out the controller for an older version. Check out my other PowerBox videos for more info.
One of the best mods for the Twizy. The only wee bit of experience issue is when I have the “pedal to the metal”, the STOP light turns on in the dash and beeping you get which warns you about the load on the main battery relay. I wish I could just turn that off. I wish I had a Powebox for the Zoe also 🤓
Agreed on the Stop light but you just mentality ignore it after a while :) Deffo money well spent though.

it is possible on a 2018 model, but not reversable, you need a pre 2016 model to be able to switch back to stock.
Technically yes it does void the warranty.

Hi there, the 2013 Twizy supports the PowerBox no problem, so you are good to go.
Its deffo the best upgrade for the money with the Twizy in my opinion.

The Powerbox simply works with a 2012 model.

The PowerBox itself does not impact the battery directly (it does pull some power so you should turn it off when not in use). The PowerBox enables you to increase regen, so it can actually help you get more range :).
In reality though, as you have more power you drive it harder so it can feel like you get through the battery quicker, but I don't really notice any impact in range, just more smiles per mile now.

How does this work for the twizy 45 Sir?
The Powerbox has firmware available for the 45 version. Just need to state you are running the Twizy 45 to make sure the correct firmware is loaded to the Powerbox V2.

What are the performance increases for the 45?
Not sure on acceleration, but I know max speed is 80kph at 10,000 rpm. It gets to 70kph pretty quick, then slow slog to max speed.

how much for that power box in euros?? i have a brand 2020 new twizy fun to drive but pretty slow i you drive motorcycles with 170 hps or more XD. this box if usable for my twizy i will buy

It is probably something that you may not bee interested in but I would love to customise mine with the spoiler and air foils etc don't know if they are even available but you have got to admit how cool would that look!!!!
Yes the F1 replica stuff is awesome. Not something I am planning so I cant help there, but check out some of the EV communities as some people have done it.

You "should" inform your insurer with regards to any modification to your car. However, with switchable mods like this, many people do not.

@@morkthebuilder9943 In terms of power and range. The power is increased alot, so does pull more from the battery and reduce range, but only if you drive hard everywhere (I did as only did short runs). However, if you drive smoothly the tune actually gave me slightly better range sometimes, as a better curve.
As for working on a brand new Twizy, NO. If you get a new Twizy and want to do this mod you will need to replace some component with old compatible gear. Best to get in touch with Ken to find out what the current options are for a new Twizy.

My Twizy was an 80, so the perfomance info in this video relates to your question.

I guess thats a question for Renault :) I prefer the look of the Twizy over the Baojun though personally.
@@SpectrumGeeks The safety is 50 times better and the cost almost half I drove beach buggy most my life and they only cost me 3k
Renault isn't based in a totalitarian communist regime where human rights are ignored. You get what you pay for. If you would like to support China in oppressing minorities, reducing the freedom of speech and taking away basic democratic rights, you can buy a Baojun. Their economy grows stronger every day and it is thanks to people who buy their products:)
Can you update the software from a Mac?
Yup, its just Ardunio software, so works on Windows, Mac and Linux.
Not had a new firmware update to do on it yet though, but will include it in a video when that happens.
