Wow. Only a few minutes in and I can feel the Holy Spirit moving!!! This is extremely powerful. I can’t help but leave a comment now. I will leave additional comment at the end. To God be the glory. 👍.
What great and powerful encouragement! “ both died in Mission”. We can see that the road will not always be easy. There will be trials and disappointments. Ridicule and persecution perhaps as well but we can’t let those things keep us from our God Appointed Mission and getting to Heaven. We must endure and be a Witness! There is enough testimonies and enough evidence.Thanks. Many many blessings. Excellent indeed!!!
Yes San, there is enough testimonies and enough evidence for us to consider and make an informed decision for the Lord. May God help us and thanks for your comments that are always encouraging to us as you faithfully continue to study the word of God with TBP. Blessings.
Thanks for this eesponse. "... We must endure and be a witness..." In my job, the vitriol is palpable. Being different in moral standards is food for hatred. But by God's grace, I will endure and be a witness for good. Thanks for your prayers.
Hi Martha, welcome to TBP and thanks for studying with us. As for your question, there is a detailed explanation in the video from 4.30 to 6.56 on the timeline. However, if you want to understanding from your reading, you need to start from verse 26. John is saying that he should not be more in view than Jesus because he only was there to announce Jesus, not to compete with him for popularity. This is why he said 'He must increase, I must decrease'. Basically, Jesus should take over his pulpit and his follows. I hope this is clear. Blessings.
John the Baptizer was said to be the greatest of the prophets by Jesus. Yet John was so humble in dress, demeanor and character. Just like Jesus, he weeded out of his life all vanities and until his premature death in a prison cell he lifted up Jesus as the groom and knew and accepted his role as the groom's best man. He humbled himself and was exalted.
Wonderful study. I have made my decision for Jesus.
Hi Aleta and praise the Lord for making your decision for Jesus. Renew it every day. Blessings.
