Thank you so much! I'm so glad my video is easy to follow, everything you've said means a lot to me.
What brand of sculpting clay do you like the best? Do you wait a day or more for it to harden before casting plaster?
This particular video is for making a polymer clay doll. I've used Sculpey's Living Doll Polymer Clay and baked it in the kitchen oven to cure it. I didn't cast this one.
Such a sweet face! Nice tutorial.

FABULOUS VIDEO! The end result is AMAZING! Thank you for sharing your talent! Where do you get the glass eyes? Do you make them yourself? Thanks again, and please make more. I LOVE THEM!
Thank you so much! I usually buy the glass eyes off Etsy or the online store "Porcelain Dolls by Me". They're a bit expensive, but look so real.
Where can I find sculpting tools like yours? Thank you!!
My custom made tools are made by an artist at The Old Monstrosity Shop (you can google the website) but I'm not sure he has any of these particular ones available at the moment. He might make you a set if you ask though, because that's how I got mine. Alternatively, you can go on websites like eBay, Amazon or Aliexpress and buy stainless steel dental tools or wax carving tools. They look a little different, but the spoon shaped tools are great for blending and the pointed tools are good for detail work. I hope that helps!
Are they plastic doll eyes ? do they tent to melt if plastic eyes ?
I'm using what they call "Paperweight Glass Doll Eyes" in this video, 6mm in size. They are safe to go into the oven but can be a little pricey. You can find them in doll craft supply stores or on Etsy. Sometimes, plastic eyes survive the baking process, but they usually go cloudy or burn in some instances. Whether or not heat damages the eyes badly usually depends on the quality. I hope that helps!
