Meta has been stepping it up with their sizes. Very often their JSKs go past 105~108 cm. I've seen their regular JSKs go up to 120cm bust max. It's part of what they have been doing and why AP can't keep up is actually baffling to me.
@@drdispekful747 Both Btssb and IW have released items in multiple sizes. Btssb stopped doing it because it wasn't something they could financially afford to keep doing I have been told. I'm not sure how that worked out for IW. Did/do mmm and Juliette & Justine also do that/still do that? As for just having one item being able to fit a larger size range, then Btssb is doing that. Some of their partially shirred jsks can accommodate a larger bust compared to the partially shirred stuff in the distant past. They've also put partial shirring in jsks that, when they were first released, didn't have shirring at all. My conclusion for now is that the Japanese brands have made good progress in being more size inclusive. Is AP lagging behind? I haven't checked the fit of their stuff in a loooong time. Iirc the most recent Honey Cake release was bigger sized but that was just one dress, and iirc they made the minimum size of that dress bigger too and there were some people complaining now being too small for the dress and AP alienating a part of their customer base.

I wish ap would make dresses that fit better on tall lolitas ;-; I’m 5’9” and when I finally got my hands on a dress that went past my knees (even with a petticoat!) I had never felt more beautiful and elegant in my life. Not to say dresses above the knee are bad, but god just seeing myself and being able to focus on my dress and not my body for once made me feel invincible. Yes! I'm not expecially tall (5'6") but I have a long torso. Can't wear jumpsuits long torso, highrise jeans don't come up even close to my bellybutton long torso, physically can not wear one piece bathingsuits without getting crotch gouged or tiddy popouts long torso. Even American made non lolita dresses hit me in the ribs when they say their cut to the natural waist. Theyd have to extend that bodice down a good 3 inches before it would fit normally. And that long torso makes my butt lower than the dress thinks it is. Most dresses and skirts hit me barely mid thigh. I fear having to bend over for something. Bloomers or some kind of modestly spandex shorts be always on.

The Name of Guardian is a Rerelease. The original Release was in February. It was also a blood bath. It had JSKs as well in Navy and Army Green. It Had a dettachable hood and POCKETS. This was my first Bloodbath and I managed to get the Jsk and Head piece. I love it so much.
@@GaiaVedai I know this specific print is probably unavailable now, but for the future you should see if you can find a tailor in your city that will take in dresses! It would allow you to get dresses from brands who don’t offer your size, although it would cost extra.

Ok, this isn’t an embarrassing moment but a proud one. I was at Dragoncon cosplaying a Handmaid when I saw some jerk burgers hassling a Lolita out by herself. I ran over to intervene and a bunch of other Handmaids joined me. Imagine his shock and horror when a group of angry red clad feminists, who just flipped of the Westboro Baptist Church body checked him out of the way, surrounded the Lolita in a walk of red and white and proceeded to rip him a new butthole for thinking cosplay equals consent. She was so relived she burst into tears. Also, Rin totally claimed Sesshomaru not the other way around. I rewatching Inuyasha and finally reading the Manga. Holy Cats! Inuyasha mouth makes your and mine look positively tame.

this reminds me of the time I went out with my mom, aunt, and grandma wearing casual lolita for a walk into town and, eventually, the shopping mall. at one point we went inside a shoe store because my grandma needed a new pair, and, well, let’s just say the shop was narrow and my skirt was poofy. I ended up knocking over five or six price tags off the low shelves around the store (the type that you arrange number by number, which means I was also disassembling them in the process) before my mom, laughing, told me to sit down before I ended up accidentally dropping any more price tags :'D let me tell you, I was more than happy to oblige. #JustLolitaThings

Nope. Not getting rid of my rhs. While tea parties have a similar rounded toe.. there is no padding to them. And most of the heeled shoes and boots... have narrow toe areas... even on larger sizes. Leaving the more comfortable alternative to ugly corrective shoes for me. While yes... I never wear them on massive pain days.. the re est of the time they are my go to. The base ends up super padded from the platform section (much like platform boots when I wear gothic).. and the toes end up super rounded... allowing space for my swollen, osteoarthritis ridden toes. Yes I stumbled until I learned to wear them...but know how and when now. The cut out of the heel means you cant roll your heel when you walk, unlike normal shoes. This automatically means shorter strides. Add in that they typically have minimal tread fir grip, avoid rainy/snowy days with them or add the stick on heels tread grippers sold for a bout $5 a set. (No I didn't eat it and lose my wig....it was pinned on. But I felt like I looked like Miss Congeniality with her hair stuck in the crown.. as mybwig was caught in my carousel headdress.)
The other amazing thing about the Magical Artefact release was that even though it started out as your usual bloodbath, Meta actually put out enough pre-order slots that I'm pretty sure most people who wanted it were able to get it. Like, I was not in any way on top of it at all and I was able to get the dress and the bow in my preferred colorway and size.
As someone who unironically loves the clusterfrock that is girly sticker, I'm delighted that Tyler has such a love/hate relationship with it. I predict that it will find its way into her wardrobe before the year's end.

First time I wore lolita was to go have a LOTR marathon with normie friends and when I arrived there they were full on iPhone Paparazzi and they wasically undressed me to my blouse and bloomers to play ballerina with my petty and play Princess with my dress. I didn't say anything because I didn't want the first thing they hear from someone in frilly frock that they should keep their fucking fingers to themselves before I have a reason to take off my clothes so I won't get any blood on them from butchering their bodies.

And my friends either didn't fit my waist or they were too small for my bust so it kind of drew more attention to my measurements which I am quite insecure of and it could have potentially made them upset too. And then one of them ran upstairs with the dress on to show to her other roommates and it made me quite uncomfortable since it was my own dress for my body, for me to display. In a way this dress is not complete without me since it has been made to fit me. And for other people to see it on someone else, made the dress look loose, saggy or tight and therefore made the dress unflattering. I wished I set more boundaries back then because that dress was the very first lolita dress that I felt genuinely gorgeous in. And since I made it myself it was my creation to show and display ownership of. I did say something along the lines of "I don't like it that N is showing off my dress to other people since that dress fits me like a second skin and it is made for me specially so only I should get to wear it" and L said "calm down, just a dress. It's not like it's ruined from one showcase". And that made me double upset because I was whoring out my dress to my friends like a pimp. Ended up never wearing lolita around them ever again.
You can take my rocking horse ballerina flats from my cold dead claws. Potential brain injuries or not, Vivienne Westwood blessed my eyes in ‘85 with those gorgeous shoes and I will worship them until the end of time and protect them with my life.

First time I wore lolita was to go have a LOTR marathon with normie friends and when I arrived there they were full on iPhone Paparazzi and they wasically undressed me to my blouse and bloomers to play ballerina with my petty and play Princess with my dress. @@Moonlitsonata93 something that kind of still really annoys me is that the JSK was handmade for my measurements, so a zip without shirring. And my friends either didn't fit my waist or they were too small for my bust so it kind of drew more attention to my measurements which I am quite insecure of and it could have potentially made them upset too.
And then one of them ran upstairs with the dress on to show to her other roommates and it made me quite uncomfortable since it was my own dress for my body, for me to display. In a way this dress is not complete without me since it has been made to fit me. And for other people to see it on someone else, made the dress look loose, saggy or tight and therefore made the dress unflattering.
I wished I set more boundaries back then because that dress was the very first lolita dress that I felt genuinely gorgeous in. And since I made it myself it was my creation to show and display ownership of.
I did say something along the lines of "I don't like it that N is showing off my dress to other people since that dress fits me like a second skin and it is made for me specially so only I should get to wear it" and L said "calm down, just a dress. It's not like it's ruined from one showcase". And that made me double upset because I was whoring out my dress to my friends like a pimp.
Ended up never wearing lolita around them ever again.
