- We will go in this historic building to try out there lunch menu. They are known for there Ice Cream and we will try it but also two of the most popular items they have for lunch. We will show you around and take a look at the menu and talk to the Manager. So let's get going

John's chicken tenders were delicious. My sandwich was good too. I liked the turkey better than the corn beef on the Rubin. Nothing better than homemade ice cream 😎😎

Try Agape restaurant-it's on 897 between Strasburg and Sight & Sound on the left. It's new but very good!

I grew up in Indy with orange pineapple ice cream. The ice cream store isn't around any more . They were awesome. Loved raspberry salad. The pecans always my favorite I love history. That building is so fascinating

We were there last fall. We ordered 2 sandwiches, it took forever to get them. Patrons in the place acted like they've never been in public before, kids running everywhere screaming and being generally rude. The ice cream was good, but we've had better. Its not one of the places we will go back to.

I have a question about the menu. What is 'house water'? I'd be worried. Great video BTW and such a unique place with the decor.
To be honest I never noticed that till you just said that. I looked at the menu fast and didn't read that LOL. I guess it's water out of the tap but I don't really know. Never seen that before. Thanks for pointing that out. 😎😎

Off topic but I hope you saw the Elvis movie! Saw the Elvis movie today. I have to give it an A. Excellent movie! Cried at the end, so sad. That sandwich looks good! I like a regular Reuben, but I’ve had them where the corned beef was really tough.

Hi J & B! I haven't been in the Strasburg Country Store for a couple years. Always loved the ice cream. I have to say though that I have never had a "Rachel" sandwich with sauerkraut! Rachels always have cole slaw and Reubens have the kraut. I always get a Rachel at Katie's Kitchen (I know you guys have been there!) So now I have to go the store and try those chicken tenders, they looked awesome. Im taking a trip to Lancaster on Monday, will stop there for lunch. Have you guys been to Hometown Kitchen? I always get a Rachel there too.
They don't carry coleslaw here so that's why it's sauerkraut. Bobbie loved it. We will put that restaurant on our list next time we are in the area. It is a Amish restaurant I think correct. You will love the chicken. Tell them you saw it on here. 😎😎
@@jbinthehills yes Hometown is an Amish Restaurant. You will not be disappointed - try the sweet potato fries - so good! The sandwiches are made with their home baked bread. I will definitely mentioned at Strasburg store that I saw the chicken tenders in your video. You guys look like you are having a lot of fun making these videos - keep em coming.

I have a question about Ohio. We will arrive in Berlin on Sept 2 - late afternoon. I know most or all are closed on Sunday. So you know what we should plan to do for food on Sunday evening?
The Pizza places are open in Sugarcreek (Park Pizza and East of Chicago) Bags Sports Pub, and The Tarragon at The Inn on Honey Run is open also. It's expensive and we have never been here but has great reviews. The Hotel In Millersburg is only open till 3 we did a review on it. Park Pizza is good we have eaten there. Hope this helps. Almost everything is shut down then.😎😎
