- These quick commercial shorts are some of the first films Ford did in Technicolor! They are fun to watch and really are state of the art for the time period. I have not done any editing to these so you are watching them as I received them. Yes I said 1937 in the beginning but they are 1939's so ne3ed need to be a keyboard warrior :-)

I wasn't expecting your intro and was surprised at how sharp and clear the old film was at first!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Ken, this was very, VERY enjoyable! Thank you for sharing these with us! Have an awesome, amazing day, and you be blessed as well, my friend!
I replied to your personal message. Thanks so much! I appreciate your support!
Man I love the old ford's especially the 39,40 ,50s. Thanks for your era films. I am subscribed to your channel. 😃
Awesome, thank you!
@@kensmithgallery4432 you're welcome 😊
Very enjoyable! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
All of the cars shown are 1939 models. Most are De Luxe models, except for one 39 Ford Standard Tudor shown in the mountains.
Thanks for watching!
In the pre-TV days, where would these commercials have been shown? Movie theatres?
I would think that these would have been seen mostly in theaters or other promotional venues such as car shows.
Yes, movie theaters. There'd probably have been a plate (a single piece of static film) with a specific sponsoring dealer's name and address inserted at the end, and maybe even read aloud by a live announcer at least on Friday and Saturday evening shows.
Exelente 🎥👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hydraulic brakes...three years after Chevrolet and 11 years after Plymouth! Do you also want independent front suspension? Sorry old chap because Henry simply won't allow them!
Thanks for watching!
got one love it thanks for sharing t bragg
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great commercials but I guess you ment to say "...the 1939 Ford product line"..not 1937...but thats an error I can live with :)
Yep, I meant to say 1939 and said so in the video description. Since the video was already posted, I didn't feel like going back and reshooting and editing and I couldn't add a caption on TH-cam, so I just left it like it is. Thanks for watching.
Ironically, Chevy outsold Ford until the late 50s, with a straight 6.
Thanks for watching!
The 1936 Chevrolet outsold the 1936 Ford... the first model year that happened. At that time, Ford didn't necessarily change production to the following model year in late summer like General Motors. For example, Ford introduced the 1932 Ford around February 1932... not late 1931. Also, production of the both the 1957 and 1959 Fords (excluding Thunderbird) and Chevrolet were extremely close... approximately 1.5 million units for each make. Chevrolet (and Plymouth) didn't offer a V-8 until the 1955 model year... around the time of the first high speed roads in the U.S.
The second car is a 1939 Standard.
