perhaps part of the cost of paying off the homeowner would be potential investors who want the land and help offset some of the cost of buying homeowners out. then not insuring the new ones, and the new owners build more open air homes that let the wind thru. or over them

20% of students in Broward are in charters schools which is something the governor is pushing for by providing vouchers for charter and private schools to all families.

Florida is in the midst of Hurricane alley. We are bound to be hit, every year. Build a home, a few yards from the seashore, pretty much at sea level…….and never heard of a hurricane storm surge?

I guess NOT Building homes with STICKS is out of the question...How about domed houses that don't have edges that the wind can catch to rip off roofs or walls built perpendicular to the air flow. nope, sticks, right angles, and eaves. it's good to be a hurricane. Would it not be cheaper for the insurance company to buy the homeowner out. clear the land, build new home and sell it.
