Talked to him several times at the smoky over the years. He’s always been friendly and has a great sense of humor. Always willing to talk to fans. Great dude!
Love the advice from the conference guys it helps people work on their game and it also helps people realize that it’s hard to be consistent in this game even for them! Love the vids chef!
Something no one mentions is you’re expected to be at your best every weekend you take the field along with balancing your personal life and hours traveling the country. I hate playing the same day I travel
Chef as always thanks for what You do for the softball community love everthing You do. Talked to Andrew at the smokys one yr and He was a great dude and I enjoyed talking to HIM. again love the content and thanks
Biggest thing I saw with your swing and the other guy is you changed your feet. That's a huge tell tell for me in the outfield of where someone's gonna go
Back side hitting is so valuable with runners on 1st/2nd, etc. Kills me every time when a batter pulls the ball to SS/3B and result in a force out or DP. I know oppo hitting is not everyone's thing but at least move the runners.
It was a made by a state director in ga for his friend that had some sort of medical condition. I think he still has some, they’re numbered to 500. It’s the same exact bat as the 1st Connell tantrum but blue.
@@1travinraine61 honestly I don’t like the new one, idk if the one I got is a dud but the exit velo isn’t really comparable to any of my other bats. The sweet spot just has a dead feeling to me
Amazing how the game has changed... Grew up with my dad coaching professional softball in the mid/late 80's into mid/late 90's and his team Ritchie's Superior being the first team ever to win all four world titles in one year, 1989... watched Crusher, Derk Androff, Charles Wright, Mike Macenco, etc... Never once saw softball played like it is now days, with "homerun" limits or guys "intentionally" hitting the middle. Lol... No disrespect, but hitting bombs with a CU31 alloy TPS vs a composite alloy is totally different. Professional tournament bonuses were paid off HR's not singles... I stopped playing once they limited HRs in A ball and rec league tournaments. One pitch, one swing!!! Leave the slapping the ball around to those who cant get it out of the yard to all fields.. Just found your channel, look forward to future content. Would be interesting watching a "pro" take BP with a bat from the 90's just to give perspective.
Hitting towards the pitcher intentionally in slow pitch is bullshit, I’ve seen guys faces rearranged in men’s softball!!! Anything else is kool but intentionally hitting towards pitchers, u should be banned from playing, but hitting an outside pitch up the middle by accident is forgivable!! Most pitchers know not to pitch outside!!! Good hitting guys, I miss playing!!
I have only ever hit middle intentionally once. It was in a VERY heated game that actually boiled over into fisticuffs. Lol! Other than that game, I will just take that pitch the other way.

A lot of people confuse the competitor in him and the man off the field. He’s prolly hitting his peak right now
Chef, this is awesome, thanks for posting this up. Great advice for how to BP. And Andrew Collins, good lord man!
