I liked the original ability more. He was basically Captain Marvel disguised as Silk

Yes he’s mid at best and I got the other 2
hydra bob as a 2/5 that move out if you'r winning the location was more appealing to me. yes tying the snap mechanic on a card is an interesting design an all but moving to a random location potentialy 2 times per game... i don't want it, it's a nothing ability so he's now a skip to me. (would have picked his older version maybe)

I think we always want to play Hydra Bob on unrevealed location at begin of game. If turn 2 turn 3 it take you advantage it so good, or not it take you disadvantage (maybe Space throne) so you can snap to make him move away
Moving enough is no incentive to snap. To up the ante the text should read "If you snap, you gain 2 (or 3) power and card moves, If opponent snap this card loses 2(or 3) power and card moves.
Straight to Series 4 hopefully
It wpuld be awesome if more card have Snap effects, since "Activate" is gonna be a thing later

What if they create a card, if in play, you snap and the other player's deck has a card destroyed or discarded.
At 1/4 it's really hard to justify it in a deck. The random movement doesn't help either, if he moved to the right location (or to the first location when he was in the rightmost location), it would be much better.

As a content creator do you plan on getting every card? Especially cards like this which should be series 4 and would be a justifiable token purchase. However has the same feel as makari, okay power but no control as to where it goes and should be s4
Yes, I keep a full collection to have the option to test out various cards and decks for content. So I will be getting Hydra Bob for that reason, but I don't recommend him as a good use of resources (my prediction) for most players.
I started playing Snap in November 2022, started making Snap content in March 2023, and then started spending some money on the game to eventually become collection complete in February 2024.
Love the concept, but don’t think it make sense in practice. Without a lockout location on board (Prof. X, sanctum, Kyln, vault, flooded), what good reason is there to not play him as a vanilla 1/4. Also, some players play games so conservatively they don’t snap or snap too late to take advantage of this effect.

If I could get him with hulk buster, forge, and pull him back with Falcon, got him with shirt, drop Caiera and then hit him with task master, he might be good. That’s a 1/16 for Bob

I was a big fan of his old stat line and ability but this new version is a major skip for me. I also don’t love the idea of making the snap mechanic affect the game outside of the stakes. This mechanic in addition to Activate cards just makes me concerned for the increasing complexity that seemingly came out of nowhere

@@Qayoh_Renzel not really saying that, but what I like about the snap system is that it’s responsible for the stakes of the match and I don’t think it’s a good idea to tie that mechanic to a card. As for the complexity of Activate, I’m excited for the new mechanic and can’t wait to see what new cards we get and how old cards get changed in response, but I think the wording of the activate season pass card is an example of needlessly complex wording that isn’t very healthy for the game, and I hope they can clean a lot of that up before the season hits
Hydra Bob is perfect for SD to turn into a High Evo card with an ability when he moves to give -2 power to a card or -1 to two cards. On his own he's just terrible, I would rather play Martyr.
Better ability for Bob:
"1/0
When a player Snap, move to a random location and then get +4 power"
Or even better:
Move and Double his power
Naw they should give him the spiderman 2099 treatment.. move & destroy random card on opponent side

Hydra Bob is a neat card, but totally skippable for most players. I'm getting him for my Cerebro-4 deck, but really only for that.
His old power was waaaaaay better

His ability is interesting but unfortunately interesting doesn't mean good. Honestly I understand why they did it but his old ability was much better and even in zoo I can't imagine anyone using Bob besides for the memes

There will be so many boomer snap with this card. I think that is the card's strength.
Letting opponent snapped first and decide later if you can swing the match with a boomer snap.
Also one thing you didn't mention: If BOTH players snapped on the same turn, Hydra Bob only move once.
And clearly his synergy is with Captain Marvel.
