im in the same boat as you, been storm/roto my whole hs career. took a couple years off and came back to all my stuff cracked all around, motiv seems its gonna fit my playstyle well. ill be getting the venom shock and the supra enzo drilled up this week.
This is one of the things I love about MOTIV and why I am MOTIV-only now - they concentrate on their own brand and never diss another 👏👏👏 Looking to bowling again after my injury. More of these vids would be great!
@@BowlMOTIV after whatever happened to motiv Lou average bowlers need more videos like this and what he did for motiv. You can find any kind of video you want for storm balls no where near as much for motiv. I will never bowl with storm again last three I had cracked all the way around. Everything thing I have is motiv even my thumb tape and I’m not a rep. Just ur average senior bowler.
mine was a hockey stick until i got games in the cover, now i can't miss. It did take some time but once it settled down its a fantastic shape. best ball ive ever drilled and when this one finally "dies" I will drill another one.
After how many games should the ball be resurfaced? Also, is a good idea touch up the ball after 5,6 games with 4k pad? And do you recommend a product such as TruCut hand polisher after the 4k pad?
More of these type of videos, please! I am a Motiv fan boy owning 32 Motiv balls as we speak (with 2-3 of the same ball because they are that good). I admit I will miss watching Motiv Lou's videos representing Motiv. I wish him all the best, and will continue to support his channel, but with less views because I will only buy Motiv equipment.
Now I’m sure after a lot of games you can bring the ball back to life but I’m like 100% sure I need a complete new one Bc Ive had my venom shock for over 4 years and I’ve thrown it everytime I’ve bowl so I have a ton of games on it and I’ve tried resurfacing it and it just doesn’t do anything anymore
There’s a tool that might help bring your venom ball back to life. It’s a nu ball oven oil extractor I would recommend investing. Basically what it does is that you put it into the machine and it removes the oil off your ball. It doesn’t necessarily change the surface of the ball if you boil over 150 games, I would definitely put it in the extractor machine to help get rid of all the oil off your venom ball. Then you might be able to resurface it and get it back to life and that should be able to solve the problem. I’m considering getting one for myself, and it may not be a bad idea to have. There’s temperatures of the machine and the safe temperature you want to use to put it in is put it on 135 degrees because anything higher will cause permanent damage to your ball and leave cracks in the coverstock which not good for the ball. I would say use it for about 5 to 6 weeks, over 30+ games depending on how often you bowl with it and see how you like it. Hopefully this tool will help you with your venom shock. I just bought one recently and can’t wait to try it out!
I'm slightly confused on this video comparing the 150+ games, resurfaced and new Venom Shock. The 150+ games ball, you played roughly 21-22 board at the arrows. The other two were around 16 board at the arrows. Why? Oh, there is no denying Motiv and their covers.
the 150 game definitely was lane shined and had less performance; however, giving that same ball a clean and resurface helped bring the performance right back to almost like new!
Haven’t thrown a Motiv ball yet. Mostly Storm/Roto. I’m ordering a Venom Shock very soon . I love how smooth it is and the continuation. Great video!

Update? I only use Storm and RG balls since the late 1990s. Is Motiv good?
This dude just bowled like 1200.

Do any other manufacturers diss the others?
I notice some Venom shock balls don't have the word shock on it.. why is it ?
Need more videos similar to this. Good video.
Thanks John!

@@William-farm we're going to try to continue to make as many informative videos as we can!
Why did u remove the tiny green "shock" under where it says venom? U also did this with the jackal ghost where it used to say "ghost"
so its just needs a resurface and not a rejuve ?

We love to hear that! It's been in the line 6+ years for a reason!

My old Trident has a ridiculous amount of games on it and still preforms really well.

Try baking it or have it set out in the sun for an hour of 2 when it's 85⁰+ out they give it a good clean, did this with my VSP multiple times.

Yo! quick question, after how many games should you wipe your ball with motiv power gel clean

Nick, you were at least 10 boards further left at the foul line with your used Venom than you were with the resurfaced and new. 😲
Yeah, I had to play more in the oil and closer to the head pin because the used ball wouldn't make it back if I got it out.
@@BowlMOTIV Got it!
@@BowlMOTIV Show us that next time! Trust me we will want to see it.
When will the video of Enzo be updated?
Hoping to have it up next week!
